Flight Risk by love-me-choey, literature
I felt it in my bones that night The pangs to run away The chirping birds, at 5 am They begged me not to stay So starry-eyed, so heavy-tongued So trapped within my head I’d fought and flailed and torn my sheets Set fire to my bed My frenzied heart is leaping flames Too hot to keep inside I packed my bags alone that night As cold as if I’d died How did I even find this place? Today we're getting into another facet of adopables: OC fashion! @CherrysDesigns will be walking us through what it's like to create and sell outfit designs through subscriptions and commissions. And don't forget, we also feature her answers on our official Facebook page. What drew you to adoptable clothing designs? How did you get into the adoptable community? What drew me to adoptable clothing designs was more of a coincidence. When I joined DeviantArt, I saw someone designing clothing and selling those and I thought "I want try that myself," because I felt like I had a lot more freedom in designing and the skillset needed. My goal always was to make money with my art and this seemed to be a good opportunity to start my journey. The designs I found that happen to

Let's Party: Celebrate DeviantArt's 22nd Birthday!
It's time to celebrate another year around the sun, and this time we're trying something new — a party at Fella's Pizza Palace! Sure, the lights keep flickering and the door slammed shut suspiciously fast, but that's probably fine. The important thing is that it's DeviantArt's 22nd birthday, not that the mechanical band of mascots onstage seem to be alive... and also angry? Never mind that. Join us for fun-filled activities and an awesome, not-at-all-terrifying Birthday Badge! Four Evenings at Fella's Great party, right? Delicious pizza, soda, and cake is all you need to have a good time drawing with your fellow deviants. Wait, what was that? Oh! There's a band, that's fun. The music is kind of strange though... and that llama has a weird vibe. Let's get out of here. Uh, why is the door locked? Join the Fun! After opening a new pizza place, Fella started a band with his friends! They play fun music while you eat, and our lawyers say they've technically never hurt
raised a girl by raido-ehwaz, literature
raised a girl
i was raised a girl by well-meaning generations and wounded dreamers. i was raised a girl by inevitable justifications and greedy schemers. i was raised a girl always too good a student for my own good— so i smile in the face of anger remain patient as if my life depended on it; so i listen to all sides and hide my unease when none listen to me; so i give because i have so much and never ask because i need nothing more. if i want more i couldn't say, so instead of demanding change i find it's easier to leave, leaving wounds that harden into ever thickening skin. i was raised a girl: my girl skin now so thick i can postpone feeling anything. now, i’m no girl. all of this is just an ingrained, stubborn stain that may fade but never go away, like a bloody heart on my sleeve. no, i'm no girl, but somewhere deep within me is a cell with a child inside who, when I open her cage, looks up at me and smiles bravely; yet somehow I know that when I close that door again she’ll
