Surreal contrasts of dreams. Wow…
10.08.2022
I dreamed that I was tidying up the area, my grandmother's yard, a place realistic but changed. The area was heavily overgrown and neglected. I cut branches, bushes, thick thickets, mowed everything possible to make a passage to the meadow, towards the lake.
The house stood where it actually stands, but the yard was different, full of bushes... perhaps the bushes of those huge raspberries from that dream? There were some strange structures made of old wood in the middle. We took it apart so it wouldn't litter the yard. It looked a bit like the remains of that dilapidated house that had appeared in my other dreams.
I pulled away some old boards and found the basement. I asked my grandmother what to do with it. She said to leave it as is. I looked inside and found it to be a huge system of caves and rooms, it was totally astonishing. Everything was old. The room I was in was like an attic partly

Feature: Writing tutorials + undiscovered art by BeckyKidus, journal
Feature: Writing tutorials + undiscovered art
It is time to feature more tutorials and undiscovered art! :dummy:
As usual, the feature will be divided into two parts. The first part includes tutorials on how to design characters and creatures, and the second part is a selection of artwork I’ve discovered recently with fewer than 50 favourites.
Previous features are linked at the bottom of the journal, and I post a new feature each month on my profile, usually around the 15th :la:
This month, we'll focus on an art form which can be a bit hidden on DA, namely writing. There are a lot of good stories, fan fiction and poetry out there, though - as well as some excellent tutorials on writing!
First, we'll start with... well, story writing. @illuminara and @OokamiKasumi start us off by giving some tips on how to start writing in general, as well as giving some beginner tips. illuminara also has an enlightening guide on how to write your first draft, and then @MomoPoms gives some great advice on how to write good fanfiction

"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go."
THE CHANGE IN SEASON
Autumn in the wilderness unfurls like a grand symphony, each leaf a delicate note in nature's orchestral embrace. The forests, once brimming with summer's vibrancy, now glow with the burnished hues of gold, amber, and crimson, as if kissed by the setting sun.
The air, crisp and invigorating, carries the sweet scent of pine and earth, mingling with the whisper of wind through the changing foliage of trees and brush alike. Every step upon the soft, mossy ground is a pilgrimage, a journey through nature's temple, where the stillness of the season invites contemplation and wonder.
In the quietude of autumn, the mountains stand sentinel, their peaks dusted with the first snow of winter's approach, while the valleys below are blanketed in the soft, golden light of shortening days. The rivers, once roaring with the snow-melt of spring, now flow gently, mirroring the vibrant tapestry of the canopy above. Here

Toll
one big index finger
the rest slowly dripping off
decending in placement and size
dreams touching the outer
paper layer of the regular
owl circling the apartment
a feather falling like a joke
that somebody died
there are a bunch of souls
that can't cross the river
'cause they ain't got toll
swallow all your gold …
