We’re getting back to the classics this Halloween in AnthroCommunity … and of course we mean classic MONSTERS! Let’s make anthro versions of some of the most famous monsters in Hollywood Halloween history, with a little twist: use the outline below to find out the type of monster you should create based on the month and day of your birthday …
Pick the MONSTER that matches your birth month:
January / February = Demon
March / April = Frankenstein’s Monster
May / June = Ghost
July / August = Vampire
September / October = Witch
November / December = Zombie
Pick the ANIMAL that matches your birth day:
1 - 5 = Bat
6 - 10 = Cat
11 - 15 = Rat
16 - 20 = Raven
21 - 25 = Snake
26 - 31 = Wolf
Use your birthday to determine which type of Classic Anthro Monster you will create. For example, someone born on February 13, would create a Demon Rat

Tutorial: Draw an Arctic Fox!
It's November, and winter is coming - or has come - for most of us. So what better creature to draw than an arctic fox, all poofy in their winter fur? (And even if winter isn't coming your way, who can resist them?)
Because that's what we'll be doing! And if you follow the steps and post your artwork with the hashtag #ArcticFoxTutorial, you'll also get a special badge:
I have drawn this with your good old graphite pencil and some colored pencils, but you can obviously use other traditional and digital media as well Without further ado, let's begin!
Step 1: Draw a circle, and divide it into four parts.
Step 2: Let's get the most important details added, namely the eyes and the nose. The top of the nose should be halfway between the center and the lower edge of the circle. Also remember that arctic foxes, like other foxes, have small noses compared to dogs and wolves!
Step 3: Time to add the muzzle! Each whisker pad is a nosewidth wide, and has a rounded "smiling" shape. I've

Suggest a December Daily Challenges Tag by vagrantscout, journal
Suggest a December Daily Challenges Tag
Daily Challenges has been a really fun way to engage with artists across the world and this past year we’ve received literally hundreds of thousands of amazing deviations covering all kinds of themes, subjects, art styles, and genres inspired by these tags. Let’s keep the fun going through the end of the year with an entire month of Daily Challenges tags in December suggested by Deviants!
How to Suggest a December Daily Challenges Tag
❄️ Think of things that you associate with December: colder weather, snow, winter, holidays, gifts, traveling, spending time with family, eating too much, sweets, etc. … ask yourself: what does December mean to me?
❄️ Once you have a December-specific idea, try coming up with some words that describe your idea but are still open to most art styles and genres … for example, #Icicle is more accessible than #IcicleWatercolor.
❄️ Before you share your idea, scan the comments below to see if anyone else has already posted that #tag … if so, don’t post the

"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go."
THE CHANGE IN SEASON
Autumn in the wilderness unfurls like a grand symphony, each leaf a delicate note in nature's orchestral embrace. The forests, once brimming with summer's vibrancy, now glow with the burnished hues of gold, amber, and crimson, as if kissed by the setting sun.
The air, crisp and invigorating, carries the sweet scent of pine and earth, mingling with the whisper of wind through the changing foliage of trees and brush alike. Every step upon the soft, mossy ground is a pilgrimage, a journey through nature's temple, where the stillness of the season invites contemplation and wonder.
In the quietude of autumn, the mountains stand sentinel, their peaks dusted with the first snow of winter's approach, while the valleys below are blanketed in the soft, golden light of shortening days. The rivers, once roaring with the snow-melt of spring, now flow gently, mirroring the vibrant tapestry of the canopy above. Here

Feature: Writing tutorials + undiscovered art
It is time to feature more tutorials and undiscovered art! :dummy:
As usual, the feature will be divided into two parts. The first part includes tutorials on how to design characters and creatures, and the second part is a selection of artwork I’ve discovered recently with fewer than 50 favourites.
Previous features are linked at the bottom of the journal, and I post a new feature each month on my profile, usually around the 15th :la:
This month, we'll focus on an art form which can be a bit hidden on DA, namely writing. There are a lot of good stories, fan fiction and poetry out there, though - as well as some excellent tutorials on writing!
First, we'll start with... well, story writing. @illuminara and @OokamiKasumi start us off by giving some tips on how to start writing in general, as well as giving some beginner tips. illuminara also has an enlightening guide on how to write your first draft, and then @MomoPoms gives some great advice on how to write good fanfiction

Fire Spies
One fateful day, an older gentleman sat behind his desk when another man in a suit entered his office.
"Director Lewis, we've just received intel that Sebastian Saga is operating in Tokyo!" The man declared as he approached the desk.
"Do we have any available agents in the region?" The man sitting behind the desk asked.
"I'm afraid not, sir," the other man replied, shaking his head. "Should I alert the girls?"
"That won't be necessary," the man sitting behind the desk replied, then reached into one of the drawers and pulled out two folders. I had a feeling we'd need to recruit agents in Tokyo. I only pray that these two candidates have what it takes to become WOOHP spies.

Meanwhile, at the Special Fire Cathedral 8, Tamaki Kotatsu was listening to music on her CD player in the break room when Iris walked in.
"Hey, Tamaki," Iris greeted her colleague.
"... Hmm?" Tamaki asked as she removed her headphones and turned to greet the blonde. "Oh, hey, Iris."
"What're you
