Promote a Gallery on your deviations!
Add a Gallery Section to your deviations to promote your art! Install the Gallery Section on any of your deviation pages by clicking the “Add Gallery” option to start customizing. You can select your Featured Gallery, Latest Deviations, Adopted Deviations, Buy My Adoptables, or any Gallery or Collection you’ve created. Promote the other pages of your comic, lead viewers to the rest of a photo set or series, or showcase other deviations you have for sale. How you use it is up to you! Gallery Sections are a Core feature. All deviants can preview how it will look, but the preview will only be visible to you. If your Core Membership lapses, your Gallery Section settings will be saved so you don’t have to redo anything when you reactivate Core later. Try it now: View My Gallery or Upgrade to Core

Feature: Shading, Color Theory, and More
This curated feature is brought to you by @BeckyKidus, who posts monthly features like this one to their Profile. It’s September, and people who watch me know I’m in the middle of a series showcasing tutorials and undiscovered artwork. The first part of this feature includes tutorials related to shading and color theory, and the second part is a selection of artwork I’ve discovered recently with fewer than 50 favourites. If you’d like to see more features like this, previous features I’ve put together are linked at the bottom of this journal. I hope you're able to make use of these great tutorials and enjoy beautiful art you may not have seen! Tutorials: Shading and Color Theory Shading and color theory are important in all kinds of artwork and are considered fundamentals for a reason—and, like most fundamentals, they can be quite tricky. However, there are a lot of tutorials, tips, and tricks which can make things a bit easier. Shading We'll start with shading. @ARVEN92 has two

Celebrating Deviousness - September 2023
The Deviousness Award is given to one deviant each month in recognition of their exemplary contributions to DeviantArt and its community and has been a long-standing tradition since DeviantArt’s early years. @barefootliam is the recipient of September 2023’s Deviousness Award, so please join us in congratulating them! Over the years, @barefootliam has quietly but firmly been a cornerstone of the community at large. While they’ve been a long-time advocate for the literature community, their interests have always spread further—to photography, calligraphy, and other art forms as well—and as they’ve shared those interests, they’ve also brought countless deviants together with their kindness and sincerity. For their many contributions to the community, we’re pleased to name @barefootliam the recipient of the Deviousness Award for September 2023! Hello! I’m @barefootliam (i don’t often wear shoes), and i’ve been on DeviantArt for more than 19 years. I work in the computer industry
