Through hearts eyes
In the quiet hum of asphalt dreams,
Every day she drives where the sunlight shines,
Their eyes intertwine, a fleeting spark,
Love ignites though the shadows mark. His gaze, a whisper, deep beneath her skin,
A thousand words where silence begins,
Though fate decrees they should not touch,
Every exchange of glances means oh so much. In a world where love wears such tight chains,
She finds solace in stolen light.
Every passing moment, a heartbeat shared,
In the depths of longing, their souls are naked. Daily she rolls by, her heart in flight,
Chasing the glow of his eyes, so bright.
In the quiet turmoil of love denied,
They meet in the silence where dreams dwell.

The presets feature lets you easily set defaults for each deviation you submit, saving time when uploading and submitting files. Set up different presets for when you submit photography, traditional art, adoptables, and more.

My Name by gallindz, literature
Literature
My Name
in Italian means clean-
in Spanish and Portuguese beautiful.
Once filling up my tank with gas
the attendant from Brazil,
with a smile that made the sun
appear said, Ah “Leenda”… beautiful-
did you know that?
and I didn’t, but for that moment
I could speak Moon fluently and
felt so light I had to hold onto the steering wheel to
keep my body from sailing away to a foreign country.
I thanked him for telling me and sometimes
I think of that compliment, if that’s what it was…
but in German it stems from the word Lind
which means tender, and my mom, she was German
and I always thought she named me for the
famous song from 1945 but I’d rather think it was
for tender, not beautiful
because tender is how I remember
the skin on her face, on my face
when we hugged.

Question for the Past by PrRailgun, literature
Literature
Question for the Past
Have I seen the sycamore tree
as it dances in the breeze? Perhaps,
I note where they stand and dare see
them every day, but their names lapse
into vague words lost on the page.
Wonder that turns through memories
of youth and old. I have seen sage,
I know that much. Some reveries
certainly flicker up of time
spent among them. Usually
with the desert, too. As a climb
recalls the pines who causally
hug the mountain sides high, reaching
up until the air is little.
To tree line. A sort of teaching
on limits to mind. Yet, whittle
the hand might do to pass the light,
yes, on an aspen branch now trash.
By fire light, the knife dances in night
carving a thing that will be ash
before the stars can vanish fast.
Yet, have I seen a sycamore,
perhaps, maybe it was that vast
branch work nestled right near the door.
That strange tree sadly cut and lost
which lived by my grandfather's place.
Hard to say, who can say. It crossed
that strange line and fell out of space.
