Alright I think I'll say something this time.
I was working on this for the past few weeks, definitely one of those pieces that took me longer then expected. Compositions..colors..expressions..I changed around so much along the way, and wanted to give up many times too. Tbh I don't know how it turned out it could be awesome or meh, I could never tell until I see final likes on instagram or rank on pixiv or sales number at a big show.. I guess the more I like one anime/manga the harder I wanted to work on the fanart of it. I never liked fanarts with pin-up poses, I don't think it's the true meaning of fanarts. Fanarts are intended for artists' creativity, sense and storytelling ability, without breaking characters' personalities, I mean, why else do you draw something of another show? Although sometimes I tend to draw boring poses too when I just feel like it, but I am not proud of it, I feel bad when selling those. Because people can tell, whether you spend time on one picture or you just stayed in your comfort zone and drew something that works on any character. Fanarts can be easy to draw and it can be challenging, I think that's maybe one of the reasons that I don't like taking commissions, because although I can draw something with relative ease but I prefer choosing the harder way, which will take insanely longer.
Deviantart is usually where I dump all my latest works and I chose not to be very active on here. But I feel like it's a good place to record how I feel about and how I worked through each artpiece.
Thanks for favs and comments!
