MEAT HEADS 003

So I've been working on this one for a while. I got the idea shortly after uploading the second Meat Heads comic strip.

Obviously, drawing the Kill Count set took a while. But, and I'll be fully honest with you here, my mother died part way through creating this drawing. Obviously, even though I'm well into middle age, this was devastating. Not surprising, she'd been in declining health for years and I was her caregiver. Still, it was a great loss and I just couldn't pick up a pen for several weeks.

Sorry to be a bummer, but art is honesty and if I weren't honest here, I wouldn't be being true to myself or the art.

Still, I think the joke was solid so after a few weeks of grief, I decided to finish this one up. I hope you like it, and further I hope this doesn't bum you out just because I decided to share something personal here.

This will likely be the final Meat Head comic, at least for a while. I just don't know where else to take the jokes and have no idea what I'd do for a fourth comic. But, you know me, if I come up with a gag, I'll make it! Cheers!
