Anyway, I hope you enjoy this comic. It went through about 3 revisions after I started drawing it. I think I ended up with the best ending. Cheers!
Oh it's so nice to see you're still doing comic strips! I honestly thought you left DA, and finished off the strips a long time ago! (Funnily enough I was rereading your old strips a few months ago. Such memories uwu)
I am glad to see you're still here/came back(?) I look forward to seeing more of your new stuff!~
I never technically left, or at least not on purpose. About 5 or so years ago I found a niche in doing art commissions for Twitch streamers. A lot of them hired me to do a banner or a background cartoon or some emojis or whatever. I always charged them a reasonable rate so my name got around pretty quickly. I don't post commissioned work here because I don't really feel like it's mine to just do with what I please, someone paid for it and therefore in my eyes they own it. So a few years of work was just kinda "out there" in the internet ether.
Then, sadly, my old tendinitis issues started popping back up. Right in the middle of a big commission, I just couldn't hold a pen from all the pain shooting through my arm. After that, I just kinda figured I was done with art whether I chose to be or not.
Luckily though, I seemed to have been blessed. I started trying to do some sketches earlier this year. I had been very blue due to a breakup with my long time girlfriend (8 years) and I was really missing having art as a means of personal expression. I'd always used drawing as a way to get things out. So, I started to get my arm stronger through grip strength exercises and things like that. Then once the Halo test came along I started getting inspired and it all culminates in these last few comics I put up here.
I was honestly taken aback by the response. So many kind folks like yourself leaving friendly positive posts has made this last couple months a lot nicer than they would have otherwise been.
Cheers! (sorry for the novella, lol)
Aww no worries my friend! I never actually thought that I would receive a response heh. I am actually really honored that I have been privileged with that. I am also happy to hear that things have gotten better for you!~ I know medical issues often get in the way of the things we love, especially for artists, on top of that, things like relationships not working out can also be really taxing. I am just happy things turned out alright in the end for you! uwu
I will also be looking forward to keeping up with your content! Especially the Halo stuff; I mean that's how found ya in the first place! Lol (Imma a huge Halo nerd pfft)
sYou'll get the hang of it again, I'm sure of it. as for the Grappleshot/hookshot, half the time I didn't realize I picked it up until I'd try to pick up the shield. It seems to me that like in Halo 3, you can pick up a fallen player/NPC's equipment.
I don't have a lot of love for modern Star Wars, sadly. Can't imagine I'll be doing much SW fan art anymore. Sorry.
But I do appreciate the comment and your taking an interest. I'll be sticking to Halo for the next few weeks most likely. It's kinda the only thing in entertainment that I'm really excited for these days.
