One of my privatemost shots.
This closeup of a turtle was taken at about 30m (90ft) depth.
She was feeding of the soft-coral you can see in the back.
As I was slowly coming closer she didn't feel annoyed at all, so
I ended up right next to it. After I took a whole bunch of photos I started softly scrubbing the algae of its shell as she was compeltely covered with it. She must have been quite old.
You could tell she liked it and so, after a while, I started gently stroking her neck and head - and she fell asleep! One of those magic moments.
I spent 20 minutes with her, just me and a turtle at the bottom of the sea. Then I ran out of air and had to return to the surface.
