By the way, if you like this and would like to see more panoramas (prints) please tell me. It takes a huge amount of time uploading...

Epic, that's the word that comes to my mind when I look at this! The crisp waves of the ocean, the soft fog lit by the sunrays, the cost, the colours, just everything looks perfect in this shot!

Happy birthday, ol' boy! :highfive:

What a wonderful picture to have for the day of your birth! It's the sort of setting that takes one's breath away at the simplicity and beauty the world has to offer.

Thank you my friend. The years pass way to quickly lately. It's those moments that you remember that make you believe the year past wasn't wasted. ;-)

Welcome. That's nothing when it comes to time flying. Now that you have offspring of your own to take care of... Wait 'til they reach adulthood -- then you'll really feel like the years flew by.

I have always been of the firm belief that no time is ever wasted. Even when I've been the laziest and done little to nothing in terms of productivity (or creativity) has been time well served. With pictures like the panoramic you shared here, gives a special quality to those captured moments in time that last beyond our brief walk through eternity.

You're right.
Only thing is I don't have offspring yet. And in my situation I don't see any in the near future. Can't see that working out. But maybe life would seem less pointless. I don't know.

Heh... Wow, that's what I get for assuming huh? Saw the pictures of an infant show up in your deviations and thought, "aww, how sweet, he has a child now!" :XD: Particularly given that a couple of other photographers that I watch have also had bouncing babies which they've been proud to try out their photographic skills; as in my life it seems that death and life always comes in threes (and you would've been the third had I not actually made assumptions).

As a gay man that's been out of the closet longer than most kids around here on :devart: have been alive; life is never ever pointless. There can be moments in one's life where it feels a bit off-kilter and especially rudderless -- though on the whole -- it's a wonderful expression regardless of offspring or not. Simply enjoy all moments you have -- directed or directionless, pointed or pointless, determined or indeterminable. All those moments have meaning, even if we don't always see it with out perspective.

Well that assumption isn't that far off given that I've been putting on pictures of the same infant obviously growing up for months. It's my niece. So you could say I#ve got a semi-offspring.
I get to see her when ever I want to (which is quite often since I'm addicted) but don't have to deal with her 24/7. So that's far from having your own child.

I see what you are saying about feeling rudderless. One has no choice but to be who we are. Sometimes the lucky ones are compatible to society / the mass. The other ones have to wiggle their way through life trying to find a way somewhere between who they are and what society / lifes circumstances expects them to be.

Some people are bolder than others, choosing their path according to their belief others, like me, are weak and try cruising on the safe side. But the downside of giving up your self is that you end up feeling pointless. I have to yet come to a conclusion of where to go next. All I do is dream but I never realise because I'm scared of what might happen if it doesn't work out. As I said pointless.
