How long have you been on DeviantArt?
I've been here since January 5, 2012, but I was using another account—which, in my honest opinion, is full of trashy fan art. Since there are people I know in real life who are extremely curious as to what I drew as a dumb kid, I'll let you find it on your own...
Two years later, on February 10, I created this account. I'm much happier with this one than the aforementioned "trashy" one. But that's probably because it's full of Metal Gear fan art with some quality...
What does your username mean?
Good question. It doesn't mean anything, actually. To tell you the truth, Zyfaran was a name I made up for a Pokémon fanfic I was working on a few years ago (long gone now). I thought it sounded pretty cool, so now I use Zyfaran for almost all of my online stuff. Almost all.
Describe yourself in three words.
Geeky. Spontaneous. Musical.
Are you left or right handed?
Extremely right-handed, though I'd much prefer to be ambidextrous.
What was your first deviation?
I really liked to imagine how the characters of a video game would react to their own games. I still do.
"MGS4 - The Twin..." by Zyfaran
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Digital fan art, as well as headcanons that shall forever stay within the depths of my never-ending imagination.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Definitely the style of Yoji Shinkawa!
What was your first favourite?
I'm still in love with this.
"Stamp on the Ground" by zarla
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Definitely Metal Gear fan art. I'm not at all ashamed.
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Oh, wow, that's a really hard question. Hmm... As of now, it's probably yuumei. Her art is absolutely incredible...not to mention that it makes people stop and think about what they're doing. I mean, seriously, check this out!
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Ooh, that's hard, too! All right, how about this: everyone. Something about this website just makes me so happy. DA has the ability to join artists from all over the world. A guy from America can be good online friends with a guy from Russia. DA has no politics, no...anything, really. That's why I love this site.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Once again, I can't name names. So many people here have left some sort of mark. We're all connected.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
A great imagination and a lot of spare time.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
Good question. Anywhere quiet, I suppose. Then my imagination can reach places I've never reached before.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I can't name a specific one, so I'll just say that I've had many favorite memories here.
