The woman in red held the scrolls close to her chest as she hid behind some crates. Her dark skin and hair helped her blend into the shadows. She knew that stealing was bad but she also knew that desperate times called for desperate measures.
Five years passed since she had done something as stupid as this.
The avatar mastered three of the four elements: air, water and earth. But after Fire Lady Azula succeeded to the throne on the day of the black sun she made their quest for a firebending teacher nearly impossible. She declared every Fire Nation citizen to attack them on the sight. Their faces – Aang’s, Sokka’s, hers and even Toph’s – had been perfectly drawn and sent across the globe so that even in the farthest of their provinces the Avatar’s gang would be recognized.
If that hadn’t been b

He was ever so vigilant.
The first night she used his own knife to cut through her ropes but she did not see how he stirred awake. She did not hear when he rose up from the bed but when her hands pulled in vain on the cabin’s door, she could feel the heat of his body standing right behind her.
She shuddered as his hand brushed her hair behind her ear. “Going somewhere?”
The knife flashed in the lantern’s lights but his hands were quicker and stronger than hers.
She suspected that he would whirl it out of her hand but something appeared in his eyes as he changed his mind. Then he slowly raised her hand closer to his chest while holding her gaze. She bit on her lip as she saw the edge of the knife cut through his shirt then as it reach his skin and when the blade spilled a drop of his blood she gasped when he le
Clothe Me in Seasons, Dress Me in Snow - Chapter 3I promised not to complain. I promised not to complain. I promised not to complain.
The café is stifling and loud and he’s pretty sure that the men two tables over are already drunk despite the fact that the sun has not yet set. Across from him Katara’s eyes bounce around the room excitedly, and for a moment her envies her enthusiasm. This was certainly not his idea of fun, but as long as she was distracted perhaps they could at least avoid certain conversations. Like ones about literary preferences.
She hadn’t brought it up yet, and frankly he was a little surprised. It was unlike her to miss an opportunity to make him feel like an idiot. When he woke that morning, he did seriously consider staying in his room all day just to avoid any uncomfortable commentary. And he did, for a while. He slept late, spent some time meditating, organized and reorganized the few items in his closet. But in the end, he relented. A promise was a promise, and he was a m

Theme 4: Gravity
For lack of a better word, the night air on her naked skin was delicious. The Fire Nation summer proved a challenge for Katara – and especially her hair, which could no longer be tamed into the plait she had grown accustomed to over the years. She did not mind too much, though – she had decided that she looked better with her hair tumbling over her shoulders while still maintaining the hair loopies she could not bear to forgo. Removing the last strip of sarashi above her waist, Katara stepped into the lake and sunk down so that the blissfully cool water covered her shoulders and set her hair floating idly. She sighed with relief and picked up her sponge and soap, bathing after a long and sweaty day.
And all the while, she consciously ignored the shining presence of the moon.
After returning from her mission with Zuko a few days ago, she had been affected by a strange itching feeling radiatin
Legend of Two Lovers
Mako and I are sitting across from each other with the campfire between us. Bolin's in his tent, presumably sleeping. We're sitting in silence, finishing up our dinner.
"Hey Korra," Mako said suddenly.
"What?" I asked with food in my mouth.
"Tell me a story."
I glared at him. "Hell no." I got up and started walking towards my tent, my food forgotten.
"N-no, I'm sorry. Come back Korra."
I sighed and walked back to him, sitting back down. "What, Mako?"
"You know the legend of Zuko and Katara?" he asked.
"Yeah what about it?"
"Really? I didn't know there was a legend about them," Bolin chirped from his tent, startling us. His body is halfway out, and he's propping his head on his hands. Pabbo is resting on his shoulder.
"Bolin! You scared us!" I exclaim.
"Psh, yeah right, you're the Avatar." I groan at him. "So, tell me about this legend."
I look at Mako. "Go tell him."
Mako looks flustered. "U-uh, well, I I don't really remember the story, I just remember they had a legend," he
Zutara Week Chapter 2 HistoryThe cloaked figure found the least dusty corner of the room and sat down. Placing his torch on the nearby stand, he tried to make himself as comfortable as possible in the dark, musty room, surrounded by shelves and shelves of dusty, ancient scrolls. He had chosen a number of these scrolls already and was now about to see what wisdom they had to give him. He sincerely hoped that he would find something.
Fire Lord Zuko was a desperate man. Although the dilemma that was plaguing him was not one of national consequences, it was a matter of the heart, which made it all the more difficult to address. But he was determined to find a viable solution to the problem, no matter what it took.
What pushed him to try such drastic (and unusual) measures was the time constraint. Katara would only be in the Fire Nation for a few more days before she left for some other part of the world where she would surely spend a considerably long time. In the time left, he was determined to properly express his t
