Mood, I'm perpetually tired and at the moment I feel an enormous artist's block coming my way, now that none of my ideas seem creative within 5 seconds. So! What's the best way to beat artists' block and beat down late-autumn depression? My answer would be, perfecting the technique. Or at least improving and finding efficient ways and shortcuts. With this motivation, I browsed around DA, looking for bestest tutorials demonstrating efficient and easy to learn photo-editing techniques. Having said that, I wholeheartedly dedicate this entry to good tuts for all life occasions whenever photo-editing is brought up.

Aaaand apart from tutorials, which are always great, there are also times when you simply need some punchy effect and quick. Or maybe not quick, but on many photos. And this is where actions come to play their part. Actions could be roughly divided into two categories - special effects and photo touch-up (there are also functional actions such as cropping, separating lineart, converting to color profile, etc; but they matter a bit less for creative process itself). Special effects actions usually include fancy scripts which allow you, for example to create rain or wind effect, add spookiness, or convert your photo into a sketch. Now photo tune-ups offer variety of stylizations - vintage, retro, blend/icon style color scheme, hdr effect and many more. You should tread lightly with the latter. Nonetheless, here are useful sets of actions!:

When I got art block some time ago I made some actions :giggle: which then led me to creative mood. Actually, I rarely have art block but just the opposite - too many ideas stiring in my head and screaming "me first! Make me first!!" honestly I wonder how is that my head didn't explode yet. I just have so little time :faint:
Thanks for sharing these, for sure worth a look :XD:

Ahaha, yeah I experience something similar from time to time. Usually I write my ideas down, but sometimes I just don't go with them straight away - and eventually their appeal fades away over time ~

I group needed resources in folders. Then, after time, I look at them and wonder what the hell i was trying to do with these?? As after time most of them just don't seem to fit anymore. But there are ideas, like the one with a swan in my work "Wet season", that has been sitting quietly in my head until I got the right resources. It happens sometimes ^_^
