Image Processing UpdateHello everyone! We previously posted an update regarding changes that were made in late 2018 regarding how images are processed here on DeviantArt. We're happy to provide another update to the community regarding some of the measures we've taken to fix issues that have been encountered.
Once again, we'd like to thank those of you who sent in bug reports and left comments regarding these changes, as the feedback you provided helped us nail down some of the issues that others were experiencing! Here are some of the major points of concern that have been addressed in the time since the last journal:
Through URL manipulation, it was possible to potentially access image files at a larger size than the largest size a deviant had chosen to display on the deviation page. This has been fixed, and now the largest image file that can be accessed publicly is the size allowed on the deviat

Tag, You're It! - PhotojournalismWhen you submit a deviation, you're asked to add "tags" so other members can better find your art.
In this new photography feature series, we'll be discovering new art by searching for different tags through DeviantArt Eclipse.
This time, we're exploring #photojournalism and related tags in the photography category.

The Great DD Round-Up: January 2019Hello and Welcome!
Welcome to this Feature-series at the home photography, CRPhotography in which all of this month's photography Daily Deviations will be included!
But what is a Daily Deviation? Allow me to introduce you!
A Daily Deviation is feature which is selected by Community Volunteers (also known as CV's). CV's have their assigned galleries, from which they pick outstanding pieces of work for this special feature. A DD is a special feature any deviant can receive once per 6 months.
Of course, you can also suggest artwork for Daily Deviations to the Community Volunteers. In fact, we encourage you to do so! That way, the CV's might see artwork they might have not seen otherwise, which means your suggestion might make a huge difference in whether the artist gets a DD or not! And if the CV ends up featuring your suggestion, you get a cool tag underneath it, that says it was suggested by you!
For more information about DD's:
What's Next for Eclipse: WatchAs @danlev mentioned in a previous change log, we'll be covering some areas of DeviantArt Eclipse with more in-depth journals. Last week, we kicked off with a journal dedicated to updates that are coming soon to Feedback! This week, one of the essential areas of DeviantArt is Watch. It’s where we go to discover what’s new amongst who we follow, and get inspired by things we’re familiar with and love. We wanted to make sure your Watch experience is just as exciting as your Browse experience, but also as efficient as your Feedback experience. We’ve decided to make the Watch page dedicated solely to Watch – so you’ll no longer see the tabs for “Watch”, “Feedback”, and “Notes”. As soon as you’re on Watch, it’ll be just that – everyone and everything you watch! Here are some related updates we’ll be introducing to you all soon:New NavigationNo more multi-clicks or dropdowns to get to the content you want to see. You’ll now be able to filter your Watch through a sticky header – so whether you want to view Deviations, Group Deviations, Status Updates, Commissions, etc., just one click and you’re there! (Cameo appearances from: @ekud, @cochalita, @aenea-jones, @samanthadoodles, @cassielink, @tanyasimpson, & @mrs-durden!)Multi-Remove & Multi-SaveA popular request from Beta Testers! We’ve improved the experience to remove or save areas you watch by having a sticky remove/save option that follows as you scroll through Deviations, Journals, Polls, etc. (Additional cameo appearances from: @rhads, @sheharzad-arshad, & @kristynakvapilova!)Deviants deserve a flawless browsing experience so they can access the content they love with absolute ease. We hope these changes will help achieve that. These upcoming updates will be announced in @danlev weekly change logs as soon as they are live. Share with us in the comments what you look forward to using in Watch!Got something else on your mind? Let us know:Switch to DeviantArt EclipseClick your avatarSelect "Give Your Feedback" to access our official formSpecial shoutout to the DeviantArt staff involved with these major Watch updates: @tomergr @heidi @roihim @yury-n @noaron @zilla774 @mariiasv @nishnushtlv @chenarbel @thesquidarrives @yumeruby @justgalym @micahgoulart Feel free to thank them via mention, give ‘em a llama, or ask them Watch-related questions!
