Of course, getting the gist requires that one has actually read a couple of these. ;)
Anyone else watching this? Seen merely a single episode so far, but I don't consider it a bad adaptation, although it's naturally missing a fair deal of the detail introduced in the novel. Casting's pretty well done, Sean Bean's quite awesome as Eddard Stark, Viserys and Joffrey radiate well that malignancy their rotten little minds wallow in (holy crap I hate, hate, HATE that bloody bastard of Cersei). Always imagined Tyrion rather uglier, but well.... Guess it'll take a couple of more eps anyhow to see how this show starts rolling.

...and have an opinion on whether his books are worth taking a peek? While looking for more dark, gritty, complex fantasy, I stumbled upon the name in the main Stephen Donaldson forums. Appears that this fellow has authored a humongous doorstopper series that consequently would require a fair deal of time to delve into.

In other importless news, while perusing TV Tropes once again, I stumbled upon the classification of anti-heroes page. It was amusing to find almost all my favorite non-villain novel characters listed there, from Granny Weatherwax to Sam Vimes to Arya Stark to Snape to LA/TC (self-explanatory...), or alternatively discover the same label smugly grinning next to the person's name on a separate site. Alright, alright, I've always known Bartimaeus is an anti-hero, but still. I just wonder what's the gist here
Does anyone know whether the 'more from (this artist)' feature placed near every deviation can be disabled or altered? At the moment, it's unearthing horrible old scrawlings from the pits of my gallery, from the time when I hardly possessed the faintest idea of correct anatomy and composition. I scarcely wish to showcase such fugly junk next to much better works. I have a hunch that if I moved the sodden bunch to Scraps, the annoyance might cease. On the other hand, I really wouldn't have time right now for drastic gallery reorganizing only because of some new gimmick DA's coding gurus are so fond of introducing to our pages every now and the
