Hey everyone,

I haven't logged in to this account for ages. However, after a longer consideration, I have made the leap of renewing my sub. I have experienced some sharp turns and hectic phases in life during the past few years, and haven't been able to maintain an active online presence in all my old haunts. Digital art has been on standstill also due to the breakdown of my better workstation.

However...

The coronavirus lockdown has changed everyone's habits and perception on life, including mine (I hope everyone has survived the disaster so far). Remote working cut a significant amount of commuting from my daily rhythm, and I'm slowly putting together a new workroom, as the situation will continue alike for some time yet. That includes having ordered a new graphics workstation. I might need to upgrade my graphics apps and learn some new features before tackling anything too megalomaniac.

I fell in love with Netflix's She-Ra and the Princesses of Power series during the deepest lockdown. Can't wait to start sketching some fanart, once I get my desk and workstation assembled.

How is everyone else coping with the 'new normal'?

Fantasy book cover parodies (NSFW in some cultures):
Part 1: mightygodking.com/index.php/20…
Part 2: mightygodking.com/index.php/20…
Part 3: mightygodking.com/index.php/20…

Of course, getting the gist requires that one has actually read a couple of these.  ;)

...and have an opinion on whether his books are worth taking a peek? While looking for more dark, gritty, complex fantasy, I stumbled upon the name in the main Stephen Donaldson forums. Appears that this fellow has authored a humongous doorstopper series that consequently would require a fair deal of time to delve into.

Also, OMG ZOMG HOMG THIS. Tyrion Lannister shall retuuuurn!!!112678 I just hope the release date won't be postponed AGAIN. ;___; *glances back at all those years of impatient waiting*

Yesyes, my gallery's entirely lacking ASOIAF fanart, but that scarcely means anything. ;) I read the first TC book two years ago, and the major fangirling bout struck only now. As the Ents and whatsists say, "Don't be hasty, burarum..."

...and feeling old. For me, it's mainly a day among others and nothing that significant, but thanks for all the greetings nonetheless. :)

In other importless news, while perusing TV Tropes once again, I stumbled upon the classification of anti-heroes page. It was amusing to find almost all my favorite non-villain novel characters listed there, from Granny Weatherwax to Sam Vimes to Arya Stark to Snape to LA/TC (self-explanatory...), or alternatively discover the same label smugly grinning next to the person's name on a separate site. Alright, alright, I've always known Bartimaeus is an anti-hero, but still. I just wonder what's the gist here. XD Is it simply that anti-heroes have so much more personality and humaneness (as in credible flaws) that I'm automatically more drawn to them? I didn't really even consider Granny Weatherwax an anti-hero before reading the trope site. But well...suppose it makes sense on a certain level.

Some crits on the latest uploads would be welcome. Seems really, really silent here.

Blaablaa going to bed now.

Just came home and went, "Guh, why is there half a thousand messages in my inbox?" Then it dawned on me.

What's hilarious is that I now have two Daily Deviations featuring Goliath/Elisa mush. XD XD Must be a curse or something, considering that these are the only schmaltz-arts I've ever concocted out of these two. :lmao:
