The Last King by zorm The Last King by zorm
Concept stuff to chapters 17 & 18 where our ole ugly Guarh G'Uhageid tells the story of king Ghorschkg-Perghk'el Gha'ugomhiel alias 'the Bane'. Guy committed genocides and other nice stuff all around the outer universes and finally perished under the wrath of Rha-kan'Ocka's heavenlords.

Novel and characters belong to me.

I am stunned by the amount of detail in this. Just stunned. It's so intricate! The hammer and eye motifs repeat themselves over and over, the knot-work is amazing and the general composition...!

Amazing, love how you have bits of the picture perfectly symmetrical.

Thanks. :)

I've mirrored some parts of the throne, and altered the copied parts a bit later so that they don't look exactly identical. Saves time when you want symmetricality and detail at the same time.

That thrown is completely kick ass awesome. The guy's pretty good too. His braids look great.

 I was kinda tired when I read this comment and went, "Bzuh? What has been thrown and where?" I know you meant 'throne', but that and 'thrown' sound so entirely different in the head of a native Finnish speaker that I sometimes get stuck to these. XD

That's cool. I love the detailwork on the throne there. The intricacies of detail honestly make it look incredible. The perspective seems to be done well also. :)

I use perspective lines on one layer every time I need depth focus. There may be something a bit wonky at the upper parts of the throne, though, but meh, can't get everything so even with freehand drawing.

*squeezes onto the dreaded, evil dA for a few moments to comment.*

The amount of detail you use is mind-blowing.

Beautiful.

I know from experience it's not just you who suffers from slowness and timeouts here. I'm on T3 lines and still oftentimes DA has the speed of a mummified slug. Overcrowded servers. x|

woah! the backgound is incredible with so much details, the face looks really realistic very awesome, woah and the snakes really have a body (the ones from the throne) I mean that if you follow thir body they are really intrecaled, your designing is fantastic and so detailed spectacular work :3

The intertwining snake/knot motives are pretty common in old Norse and Viking-type decorations. I've just been for a while so engrossed by the mythologies and whatnot that I tend to replicate the patterns rather often, though in this case the themes are deliberate. XD

My compositions commonly follow the golden ratio. I guess it became more dominant here than usual.

 Well, they're both creepy characters. Though, Gha'ugomhiel rather more so than G'Uhageid.

Thanks!
