Hiid V2 Lineart by zorm Hiid V2 Lineart by zorm
A little redesign for my fantasy novel character. The bg's a bit random, but thought it looked better with this than as plain white.
Trying to improve with general female anatomy. Some mistakes perhaps still but oh well.
The base's inked with liquid ink as usual, but I re-layered it and such with PSP, so it's in the digital art category.

Any sense to color this?

I think she's quite pretty! You're definately improving on females. And her outfit is very nicely done, as always. Her head does seem a bit small in comparison to her body, but that may be just because I'm more used to the cartoon-ish women. *shrugs* Anyways, I really think it looks marvelous! Kudos.

*points to the answer given to Linn* I've been lately influenced a lot by the style in the MOTU comics, and that's sorta pulling me away from the ol' Disney style. See f.ex here and here what I mean with the female heads. :D
Anyway, I'll try and see what she might look like with a slightly bigger attic. :D I'll proceed with changes to the lineart in any case. Thanks for the input. :)

Awsome work! The detail as always is amazing and never ending. Very nice anatomy job, you are deffinately improveing on drawing women. Maybe her head is a bit too small for the rest of her body, but I've been known to be wrong. But it looks great so far, deffinately worth coloring :).

Thanks. :)

Maybe her head is a bit too small for the rest of her body.

It should be the right size; lacking a better model, I posed in front of a mirror myself and tracked the general measurements down that way. ^^; But maybe it seems smallish because with cartoon figures you usually draw the female heads slightly bigger than normal. :)

Nah, keep it this way. The white gives a pleasant effect, imho. Neat embroideries, btw. :D

You are getting better at female bodies. I really like her eyes--very full of emotion. And as always the details you do on costumes are exceptional! :)

Thanks; I'm seriously attempting to get some improvement into them. Glad to hear if it's starting to work out little by little.

The detail you put into her outfit is stunning. The anatomy is pretty good as well my one suggestion to help make her more feminine is in the neck, it appears that she has the hint of an adam’s apple which of course women do not have so smoothing that out might be good. But otherwise she’s very pretty, I love her eyes and lips.

Thanks for the tip, I'll smooth the neck's lines to the final pic. :)

Thanks. :) Well, with these hand-inked pics, I nowadays like to post the non-colored version first to see whether people have something to criticize on. Easier to make fixes into the lineart than to the final piece.

Yeah, I see what you mean, you still do things ten times better than I do,
