G'Uhageid by zorm G'Uhageid by zorm
More concept stuff for my fantasy novel.
Guarh G'Uhageid is a quirky, somewhat dotty rebel leader fighting against Lord Khran-Av'ees's tyranny. He's about 35000 years old, as the Rha-kan'Ockian elves live who knows how long. It's a bit hard to scale his age to that of 'normal humans', since these folks do not grow old in a linear fashion, but remain physically rather strong even if their faces start bearing as much wrinkles as a sackful of raisins. Whereas rebel leaders usually go as lone wolves, he's the grand-grand-grand-grand-wossnumberfather of a whole tribe of offsprings.
Left the tattoo layer separate-colored, since it looked too messy with a normal black blend. Anyway he's supposed to be such a walking picture book.

Hmh. Worth coloring?

The Curse of Rha-kan'Ocka belongs to me.

Wow. He's scary.

The sword design is interesting to look at, although I admit to wondering how practical it is.

I do really, really like the level of detail, particularly in the tatoos.

Worth coloring? I'd say yes, for no other reason than because I enjoy looking at your rich colors. :)

The practicality... well, it might be an issue in normal circumstances, but the (rather parody-oriented, sorta Discworld-ish) world I'm writing about, has fairly much its own laws of physics. The other day I was typing about a tree with its own magnetism for some totally illogical objects that have nothing to do with its natural survival functions. Now I might as well add some info about a range of exotic chemical elements. Hmm, some metals might even have a mimimal friction when forged into certain shapes. That might make the horribly bulky weapons work.
Sorry, got along rambling.
Thanks. :)

Well, I hardly ever do these on one sitting either. More like stuff to do when I don't have patience for math any more. XD

Thanks! :D Big part of the whole fun, the designing process. I'm trying to get some sort of uniform look for the garments of these characters now, thought with tribal variations.

Thanks. I guess I just can't help the details coming. Before I uploaded this, I was slightly fretting over the 2/3 blank background, but thought better of it. XD
