Simple Digital Painting Process (GIMP)

Look, I made a lump of clay. With technology.

Now, I'm not calling this a tutorial because it's not particularly in depth or anything, and I'm not really trying to teach anything as much as I'm just documenting my processes that I've learned for all the digital painting I never do. Also it says GIMP but because this thing isn't detailed at all, I'm pretty sure you could follow this process with about any program. And a tablet. Although if you're using a mouse, kudos to you.

Also, the "What Has Been Learned" thing at the end is really just a list of things I wanted to keep in my own mind the next time I paint. It wasn't supposed to be a pedantic, "you should take these things away from my incredible painting process"

If you want a real digital painting tutorial, go look at crystal-89.deviantart.com/art/…, it's so much better and what has helped me and is the only reason I can even paint a lump of clay (and, y'know, my Black Widow piece).
