One of the 'Swine Things' from William Hope Hodgson's
"The House on the Borderland". The narrator fought off hoards of these monsters in Hodgson's great tale written in 1912.
He's about 8" tall, made from sculpey and painted. I plan to make copies.

Looks very good. If I was doing the thing I'd make the snout's features a bit more humane... Still, very good and accurate piece! Well done!
Finished reading the book on Saturday. And now I'm tempted to make my own version of the creature :meditate:

Thanks, I kept him from being a muscle-monster, but if I had kept closer to the story description he would have had a more human face. I wasn't sure how to do that and still keep him dangerous looking. Your work is quite nice. I'd enjoy seeing more art related to Lovecraft.

"I kept him from being a muscle-monster" - that is a very good move as we're flooded with all the huge tits and shining muscles ;)
Thanks for the comment on my work. I browsed your work in return and found it really inspiring. Keep it up!
I'd like to try sculpey myself - only paper-clay so far...
