These are about 1 3/8" wide and cast in pewter. The reverse is blank. They are supposed to be symbols of the Lovecraft Mythos. 1. Organic Derleth Elder Sign. 2. Derleth Elder Sign. 3. Cthulhu. 4. Lovecraft Elder Sign. 5. Cthulhu in R'Lyeh. These are my first efforts to cast metal.

Is there any way to purchase one of these?

Hi,  I still make them from time to time. I put them on a hemp string now, though, as it's actually sturdier than the little chain.  The are $10.00 and $1 post.  You can contact me at zombiequadrille@hotmail.com   Thanks!

Lovely sculptingwork, very intricate. was the originals made in clay?

Thanks. The originals were made with sculpey, though I've used Monster Clay (wax) also. Melted metal is a little tricky because it has surface tension that keeps it from going into tiny detailed places. I think jewelry makers use a centrifuge of some kind. I found out I couldnt just pour these into a flat mold (which would have been nice since they have a blank side), but the details just wouldnt come out. So I ended up making a two piece mold and let the weight of the pewter itself help push the metal into the details. I hope that made sense.

Thanks. After trying out working with low temp pewter I have a lot of respect for people who work with molten metals.

Thanks. When a friend reminded me that many silicone materials could handle melted pewter I had to have a go at it. The stuff (pewter) is too expensive (for me, at least) to make anything large, but I may try a few smaller items.

Smaller items look better in pewter. The bigger the project, the heavier it will be in metal.

Based on what I've done I imagine that my regular Cthulhu figure would weigh about ten pounds if made from pewter.

That would be one expensive and heavy paper weight LOL

I rather like these, I may have to make something similar

Thanks. You might find that pewter is a good material to make some fittings or decorations for some of your book designs.

I'd love to work with metal, it's something I still need to experiment with.
