the green one is a fake eye, jack has blue eyes form the beginning before the incident. This is a hologram of jack in tftbl where his eyes turn yellow whenever he's trying to hack rhys' echo devices
I looked it up and his eyes ARE actually blue and green in the pre-sequel. wierd that I never noticed that I always thought they were both blue for some reason haha Also I found this comment quite funny:
"At the risk of speaking for Scott Kester (lead concept artist) and Jeramy Cooke (art director), Jack got many of his cool details (the mask, the differently colored eyes) to make him stand out and feel unique.
When it came time to design Jack’s concept, Paul and I gave the art team a bunch of really difficult, weird thoughts on where we imagined this character sitting. He’s like the hero of a different videogame! He’s arrogant and funny, but also smart! He’s the CEO of a corporation, but he’s really down-to-earth! He thinks he’s a hero, but he’s basically space-Hitler! And he’s really handsome, like Han Solo!
Jack’s visual design was an attempt to address all those aspects of his character. His layered clothing shows that he’s quasi-businesslike, but also casual; his differently-colored eyes make his face asymmetrical (Scott Kester is a huge fan of asymmetry in Borderlands character designs); his mask draws attention to his handsomeness, but in a very down-and-dirty, Borderlands-y kind of way that inspires curiosity."
Yes, he is honestly tied for one of my most favorite villains ever in gaming, the others are clockwork, dr. Nefarious, raam, Arkham Knight, basically a lot of bad guys. Honestly I feel like handsome jack is the closest to a real life super villain, in a way.
W H Y DIDN'T HE SAY THIS IN-GAME i'm actuall y screaming rn your art is perfECT these two look so so sO great in your style, and the way you use copic s i'm uGH this is fantastiiic <333
I might have heard it already, unless it was towards the end o: Haven't finished TPS just yet, can't wait to haha OOOOH gotcha o: If you don't mine me asking, are they any cheaper than copics? They look to have a nearly identical effect!
tbh ive been into borderlands ever since i played the first game but i just haven't drawn it. i guess tales from the borderlands sparked my inspiration
Ahh, Same here, I am surprised someone else actually played the first one, everyone seems to skip up that one and just go to the second XD but I do love your art for it so far, your eridian gemsona is pretty coolio lol
Hated the end, and there was a lot of unanswered questions, I felt like it built you up for greatness, thannnnn completely let you down and the loot was real bad too, I killed the end boss with like 4 shots on my first play through, kinda felt like as a player you got gipped out of a conclusion was all. Bl2 is nearly fantastic, but presequel made me question how I view certain characters.
*claps slowly*
"Nicely done Jack.."
good job

And I love your traditional pictures, too!
