PROLOGUE — THE PAST DOES NOT STAY BURIED
Sacramento, California.
Lisa and Katie graduate from Sacramento State University beneath a cloudless sky. Applause. Smiles. Closure. For Rachael Hawkins, it should feel like an ending. Instead, it feels like a pause.
She returns to archaeology—fieldwork, research, the comfort of history that stays dead. She plans a return trip to Egypt to study Moses and Rameses, but even the thought triggers panic. The Ten Plagues still haunt her dreams. Blood in water. Darkness that breathes.
She tells herself knowledge is control. She is wrong.
ACT I — IMHOTEP
1290 BCE. Thebes, Egypt.
High Priest Imhotep loves Ankh-es-en-amon, daughter of Pharaoh Seti I.
When their affair is discovered, they murder the Pharaoh. Imhotep flees. Ankh-es-en-amon kills herself, believing resurrection is possible.
Imhotep steals her body and journeys to Hamunaptra, the City of the Dead.
The Medjai stop him. His priests are mummified alive.
Imhotep is sentenced to the Hom Dai—the worst curse imaginable. His tongue is cut out. He is buried alive, eternally conscious, sealed beneath a statue of Anubis, guarded forever.
The Medjai swear he will never rise. History lies.
ACT II — THE SCROLL IS READ
Present day.
A new exhibit opens at the House of Horrors Museum. A mummy. A name: Imhotep.
Rachael feels sick the moment she reads it. She races to the museum, knowing exactly what will happen if the Scroll of Thoth is read aloud.
She’s too late. The scroll is spoken. The sarcophagus cracks open. Imhotep awakens. He steps into a world unrecognizable—empires fallen, skin tones changed, gods forgotten.
Before he can orient himself— Gunfire erupts. Masked men storm the museum. The tour guide is executed on the floor.
They wear the symbol Rachael knows too well. Prodigium. Led by Vazec.
ACT III — GOD AND CULT
Vazec kneels before Imhotep. Not as a servant. As a believer. He pledges Prodigium to Imhotep’s cause, promising to find the reincarnation of Ankh-es-en-amon.
Imhotep breathes in. He knows. He smells Rachael Hawkins. She becomes prey.
ACT IV — THE HUNT
Rachael runs.
Sacramento becomes a maze. Prodigium floods the city.
She disguises herself at Evangeline’s Costume Mansion—nothing dramatic, nothing theatrical. Long hair. Neutral clothing. A ghost in plain sight.
It doesn’t matter. Vazec knows her face. Imhotep knows her scent. She is captured.
ACT V — THE SACRIFICE
Rachael wakes restrained at Sacramento State University.
Prodigium banners hang where graduation signs once stood.
Imhotep prepares the ritual. Rachael is to be the vessel for Ankh-es-en-amon.
The dagger is raised. Her heart is the final key. Then— Light.
Lisa and Katie, wielding high-powered stage lights, blind everyone but Rachael.
Chaos. They run. Back to the House of Horrors.
ACT VI — BURNING HISTORY
Inside the museum, Rachael finds the remnants of the Imhotep exhibit. The Scroll of Thoth lies waiting.
She reads the smallest print—something no one else noticed. The truth. Imhotep’s immortality is not bound to his body. It is bound to the scroll. Burn it. Erase it. End him forever.
Cultists close in. Rachael fires until her gun clicks empty.
Her lighter fails. Fails again. Finally— Fire. The scroll burns.
Imhotep screams. His body cracks, collapses, and disintegrates into dust. The ancient power is gone.
Vazec disappears. Again.
EPILOGUE — THE COST OF SURVIVAL
Police arrive. Rachael gives the simplest answer possible:
“A ritualistic cult tried to kill me.”
She goes home shaking.
A voicemail from Tyler Holt waits. He tells her to send flowers to Derrick Holloway. Prodigium is retaliating. Anyone who stands with the hunters is a target. Derrick’s parents were first.
POST-CREDITS SCENE — THE BROTHERHOOD RETURNS
Brentwood, California.
Rachael stands beside Derrick at his parents’ funeral. She gives him the flowers herself. No words. Just presence.
Derrick leans on Rebecca. Later, Rachael and Derrick drive the coast roads in silence.
They stop. A familiar yacht waits offshore. The others are already there. The Brotherhood is reforming. Not to react. To end this.
The Mummy design is not mine, it is Lordwormm's.
