Description

The dressmaking shop in Los Angeles was closed down after the original owner, Gwen Cutter, left to become a costume designer in Hollywood. But luckily, the shop is finally under new management, and even expanded into doing something more, having women model the dresses for the online sales. Layla Connor has her own taste in dresses; she only likes the strapless dresses. Layla was chosen for the online models because of her beautiful appearance. But out of random, a mysterious stranger in a ski mask had a gun, and he wants the money from the shop. Layla is able to fight off the stranger with a high heel shoe (she took a kickboxing class in high school), leaving the strange to unmask himself and remove his clothes, only to reveal he is invisible. The Invisible Man was slightly injured, because of the heel part of the high heel that impaled his arm, and runs off, leaving a trail of blood for the LAPD to follow.

Jack Griffin, a chemist who recently discovered invisibility while conducting a series of tests involving a very rare drug called Monocane. Griffin's fiancée, Flora Cranley (daughter of Dr. Cranley, Griffin's employer), was distraught over Griffin's prolonged absence. Dr. Cranley and his assistant, Kemp, search Griffin's lab, and was able to find one note, which was a list of chemicals found in Monocane, Cranley knew it was hazardous, dating back to World War 2, the drug drove a dog insane in Nazi Germany. Jack was unaware of the side effects; Cranley may have learned about the drug in a book that was published long before the incident, only describing it as bleaching power.

While Layla gives a full report to the police about what happened at the dress shop, and with her co-worker/girlfriend Mona at her side as a witness, the only piece of evidence they have is the trail of blood. Forensics was able to identify the blood of the Invisible Man; it was Griffin, a University of Chicago graduate who was interested in the science of refraction. Reports were saying that he studied the drug Monocane, which resulted in a lab explosion, everyone thought he was dead, and so, the media covered it up with Griffin being announced dead at the scene. So all this time, it was just a guy who got in a freak accident in a lab, which turned him invisible, and the world thinks he's dead. And so the real question is, how will the world know that Jack Griffin is not dead?

Just one day after Griffin's failed robbery, Layla finds herself not knowing if something like this will happen again, as she's modeling Bridesmaid dresses. So for the color of the dress she's now modeling, is black and strapless, because she likes to show off like that. To Layla, the color suits her, to her co-workers, and they found the Bridesmaid dress choice of the month. Just after the photo shoot for the online store, she was given another style of dress, but this one had a bow on the back, a first for her. But before she could change, suddenly, people are running as a car is driving through the streets of LA, but there's nobody driving, okay it's Griffin driving the vehicle.

Layla grabs her leather jacket, and grabs a gun out of the glove box of her Camaro, and decides to chase after Griffin. The whole world knows about Griffin after his experiment took a toll on him. The streets of Los Angeles were turned into a game of Cat & Mouse. Layla is able to shoot out the tires, causing Griffin to crash. The police arrive onto the scene and ask Layla questions about her recent history with Griffin, she responds with no relationship with him, and that he is someone who just wanted to be visible again. Overhearing the television, Griffin is taken to the hospital, and then later dies of his wounds. Griffin's last request is to ejaculate into a vile and give it to his fiancée, Flora, so that his bloodline continues. But as he dies, he becomes visible again. Later on the news, Layla discovers she is also someone who fought monsters, briefly mentioning others who fought monsters, such as Rachael Hawkins, Tyler Holt, Christian Cutter, and Derrick Holloway.

A month after the chase in LA, Layla attended Griffin's funeral, Flora Cranley is now pregnant and hoping that the baby won't be born invisible. Rachael and Tyler were also there at the funeral, to identify the person who fought The Invisible Man. Going back to the dress shop after the funeral, Layla is given her first strapless wedding dress to model. The dress also came with gloves, a tiara, a veil, and a green necklace, Layla thought the dress looked familiar. The dress is the same dress worn by French Opera singer Christine Daaé, back in 2005, when she was given a choice to marry the Phantom of the Opera to save her friends or let them die. The dress is the kind that little girls would say "You look like a princess." Layla tries it all on (dress, gloves, necklace, veil, tiara), feeling like she's over-dressed, but the dress becomes a best-seller for wedding dresses for the online shop, labeled as "Christine Daaé Replica Wedding Dress."

In a post-credits scene, Abraham Van Helsing informs Rachael Hawkins and Tyler Holt to go to the Majestic Theater in New York City and await further instructions.
