Description

It's been dark times at the University of Eastern Colorado; the police are investigating a string of murders committed by "The Creeper," a mysterious killer with a hideously disfigured face. The Creeper murders Chemistry Professor Cushman. Later that night, the killer stalks the dorm rooms and appears in front of the room of ballet dancer Kendra Li, who recognizes the face of the killer, Hal Moffet. Kendra's scream attracts the attention of the police as The Creeper makes a run for it, jumping out of a fire escape and landing inside the dorm room of Kendra's ex-boyfriend, Darryl, the dance instructor of the school's upcoming production of the Sleeping Beauty ballet, Kendra is set to star as Aurora. Kendra and Darryl meet up after witnessing the Creeper escape, and as police arrive, the two explain to them what happened, and the last time they saw the killer... fleeing the dorms.

At the police station, when Kendra noticed the Creeper was Hal, Darryl also knew Hal, they both explain who he was. Eight Months ago, Hal was a handsome college football star who competed with Darryl for her affections. One day, while helping Hal prepare for a chemistry exam, still fighting over who will end up with Kendra, Darryl gave Hal the wrong answers, forcing him to stay after class to do extra credit work in Professor Cushman's class. While working on a chemistry experiment, he sees Darryl outside with Kendra practicing the dances routine for the Christmas production of The Nutcracker ballet. This was before they broke up because Darryl felt like a jerk towards Hal and Kendra thought he stole her from him, but they still remain as friends. Furious, Hal tosses a beaker to the ground, accidentally causing an explosion that disfigures his face.

Meanwhile, the Creeper goes to a pawn store to buy a brooch for Helen Paige, the pianist for the school's ballet productions and kills the pawnbroker following a fight. He later brings the brooch to Helen, who he realizes for the first time is blind. Hal learns she needs $3,000 for surgery that would restore her eyesight. When Helen tries to touch his face, Hal angrily storms out. He then goes back to the dorm rooms and attempts to steal money from every student, and decides to take the money from Kendra and Darryl, whom he blames for his disfigurement. Darryl draws a gun and shoots Hal twice in the stomach, but the weakened Hal attempts to kill Darryl and fails, before escaping with the jewels off of Kendra's ballet tiara, leaving her heartbroken because that tiara was a birthday gift from her late grandfather. Hal brings them to Helen, who is concerned about Hal's injuries, but he flees before she can learn he is shot.

Helen brings the jewels to an appraiser, who recognizes them as having recently been reported stolen. Donelly and Gates bring Helen into the station, where they inform her Hal is the Creeper and accuse her of harboring a murderer. Reluctantly, she agrees to help them capture him. The next day, the school decides to not postpone the production of Sleeping Beauty, with Kendra as the lead, the police have decided to go undercover as ordinary students who paid to see the ballet. They are using the ballet as a trap to catch the Creeper. Before starting, Helen had given the jewels off of Kendra's tiara back to her, thanking her. During the ballet, the newspapers run stories about Helen cooperating with police, infuriating Hal. Feeling betrayed, he sneaks backstage where Darryl fights Hal and allows the police to capture and arrest Hal. The ballet goes as a success, and the two police officers, who later appear to be Rachael Hawkins and Tyler Holt undercover, assure Helen will get the operation she needs. Kendra and Darryl get back together as boyfriend and girlfriend.

In a post-credits scene, the police make Hal become the subject of a sculpting class, as part of probation, to be made into a wax sculpture, and he gets paid for this. He is given just enough money to allow himself to have his face reconstructed back to his normal self. The best one gets his/her sculpture a place in the "House of Horrors."

Please note that the ballet tutu is Photoshopped in, then I outlined it.
