And again... as every year at the end of october, the media (in TV especially) gets flooded with this pseudo-holiday called "Halloween". I never had a thing for this imported holiday and I never will. It came over here from the US someday at the end of 90'ies, because it's... uh... what is it anyway? Cool? Modern? Because Hollywood told it's cool to celebrate it around the world? No idea, really. But, for me, I know its true origin (celtic Ireland) seems to be forgotten or just ignored. Heh, yeah, why should the real matter being told if its commercial matter is much more important?

Oh, hate me for my opinion, I don't care anyway.

I would have liked to submit a new picture I made in Terragen 2, but - for whatever reason - there still appears an error in the final render I can not fix! It never appears in quick renders and never in the preview. It looks all fine in them. But whenever I let TG2 render it in full quality (detail 0.6, full atmospheric and cloud samples) there appears a pink spot in bottom part of the render. I have no fuckin' idea where it comes from or how I could fix it. First, I thought it would be still a bug in the last version, but it still appears in current version of TG2 (1.9.04.1).

Dammit!

As some of you may know, I'm running a forum on my website, which I original founded with someone who I used to call a friend until I found out he's a retard. 2005 I had to kick him out because he abused his powers as Admin. I couldn't tolerate that. He didn't even listened, spread lies about an ongoing never existed conspiracy in the forum, ignored every thread and PM I sent him, caused trouble in the forum and got a lot of enemies there because of his antisocial behaviour.

Well, I also banned him from the forum (the only way to get rid of his bullshit).

So... last week he suddenly appeared out of the blue and registered at my forum with an unusual name and address. I didn't know that it was him, so I approved his account. Around an hour later he suddenly contacted me on ICQ. Immediatly I checked his profile and saw his RL-Name there, so I now knew it was him, although he proclaimed not to know me. Then he did admit it. And a short conversation started, for me to get to know what his motivations are to come back. He told me that the people at Furbase were idiots and stuff and he decided to come to me.

To make it short: This guy is not welcome at my forum anymore! He caused too much troubles and if I would dare to let him in, I would risk to lose many of the members who knew him. I just deleted his account and blocked his ICQ.

What I find really outrageous is that he got the nerve to let uncover himself in front of me, although he surely knew that he should never to get in front of me again! It could get very very ugly otherwise...

Thanks for reading...

Refering to my last journal entry, someone told me something. Now, I know for sure it was a lie. Whatever makes them to tell me such lie, they shall burn in fucking hell and... NEVER... tell me such shit EVER again!

What I find really sad, is that they spread this lie around. I know you-know-who commented something about that in someone's DA-Page. What you-know-who told him is unknown to me, but I'm pretty sure it was the same lie.

Yes, a lie... because it has been proven as such one!

Okay... just to make one thing clear, since an old drama pops out of the dead lands again: Do NOT involve me into it! That especially counts for two people who are not on my watch-list, but I'm sure they surely know that I mean them (it's a duo) since one of them comes by from time to time.

It's not my fucking war and I would be pleased not being asked questions about anyone or anything regarding this drama.

You know who I mean...

You know, if you know how TG2 works, you can get fine results pretty fast. Althtough it just needs time to get used to to the new system. But the time isn't wasted. Not at all! Right now I let render a little cloud-study. I wonder when it will be finished...

I had the last week off, but I didn't do anything with Terragen, unfortunately. Well, I wanted to do a lot of things last week, but... somehow the time ran faster than I thought. Hm... Oh, well, but after five years of unemployment I'm glad that I have work earn my own money. It feels good. :)

Anything else I could talk about? Hm...

Ah, I'll keep waiting for Terragen 2. It's a must-have, especially after I saw that quality of picture you can do with it.

Chain Letters... well, maybe I should mention that I NEVER reply to such letters, nor do I relay them further. So, sending me chain letters is just a waste of time and ressources.

Thanks for caring...

Unfortunately, the official technology preview of Terragen 2 will be delayed. It should have been released at the end of january, but Planetside changed their minds about this. Now it's planned to release it in the first quarter of 2006.

Damn... I hope they will this time. I can't wait for this program, I want to make vegetations into the landscapes. Some ideas popped in mind for that anyway... so...

I'm getting better in creating terrains and Terragen. That's cool! :) Now I just need to practice some more in surface maps. My previous ones are not fine enough, in my opinion.

Ever tried to make a surface map look near realistic? It's a pain! I have a nice... no, a really nice terrain with a cool POV, but I can't get the surface map working that way I want it to. Gaaahhh... sometimes I'm tired of all these controllers and figures...

WM 1.0 Standard

Sun Aug 28, 2005, 4:20 AM
Well... I got World Machine v1.0 Standard last week. And I must say... it's... just... impressive! Okay, I can't make Terrains larger than 2049x2049 because of the lack of phyiscal RAM (my computer only has 512 MB), but the terrains I made until now, are high-detailed and reeeeeaaaally interesting.

Right now Terragen is rendering a new scene with a 2049x2049 terrain.
