Red Winter Fairy

I started this drawing November 2008. It's been a rather time consuming drawing but I feel happy with it in the end. I really wanted to create a darker mood, when it's just about to get dark at night and you get that colder feeling (aside form the fact it's suppose to be early winter). There's something a bit searching about her look which I like, it suits the nature/fairy theme I think. I have very much enjoyed doing fairies lately, it allows much creativity and I missed doing all the butterfly wings I used to.
These days I try to find my way back to the things I loved doing.
Made with Caran D'Ache colour pencils, Faber Castell colour pencils and soft pastels.
Thanks to
for being the pretty model for my fairy.
