Spiral Necklace by zikes Spiral Necklace by zikes
The necklace version of this. The spiral weave actually has to be twisted manually, if you were to take a single strand of spiral and let it hang loosely it would lose its spiral and not look very good at all. To keep it from doing this I decided against using a clasp and connected the two ends permanently, making sure I could slip it over my head, of course.

Dollar bill thrown in for size reference...

agh, the silly thing doesn't stay twisted by itself? stupid metal... that sort of ruined things a bit... ah well.

then again, I suppose one could make one that's long enough to wear double around the neck... that way it can be tight, and still look good! yay! clever me!

lol it's also useful for dangles. I think my Choker of Insanity would look better with spiral instead of box :)

are you going to make a spiral choker?

Not so much a spiral choker, but maybe a choker with spiral dangles (or whatever they're called) where the spiral hangs down in those little half-circle shapes.

Awesome! A bit thinner than the other weaves, which probably doesn't stand out as much. It looks great!

Thanks! This weave is actually pretty common in mainstream jewelry because it's so thin. I've seen tons of these in jewelry shops in gold and silver. They cheat to keep the spiral, though, by making the rings wide.

don't they also make the rings flat on two sides?

Yeah I think so, I've also seen some where they will weld two rings together perpendicularly so it creates two spirals in one
