Japanese Cube Juggling Ball by zikes Japanese Cube Juggling Ball by zikes
Well for those of you who don't know ~ Adaven he can juggle...REALLY WELL. You gotta see him when he gets four of them going at once he's all switching his hands up and going under his leg and doing tricks I didn't know were possible. So as a *very* belated birthday present I'm making him a set of four chainmaille juggling balls :D

Here's the first one, it's got a copper coated steel core for weight, then I covered it in aluminum to make it the proper size and so it's all shiny, too :)

by the way, How hard are they? I mean like do the links move around a bit or are they solid and don't move at all?

holy crap! how did you manage that! :wow: its SO cool! I wonder tho. it is heavy? if someone asked above I wouldn't know there are too many messages and I'm too lazy to sort through them. hahaha

It's not too heavy, I'd say no more than a large apple. ~Adaven's been juggling with rice filled tennis balls which weigh about the same as this cube, so the weight should be just right for him :)

Not as heavy as you might imagine, it actually weighs about as much as the rice filled tennis balls he currently uses

Hmmm great big balls of aluminum. Just doesn't sound as good as steel. Looks great though!

ummm about a week or so of real work, I tend to jump around from project to project so there was about two weeks where it was half finished on a shelf :)

I encourage everyone to try it out, it's very relaxing and doesn't cost much. Some of my best work is done with cheap wire I buy at a local Wal Mart for $5.

Yeah I'm mulling a couple ideas over in my head. To tell the truth I haven't actually made any ankle bracelets before. I'm sure it won't be difficult to make, I just don't have any prior ideas or designs to work off of :hmm:

Sweet!

But don't let Zikes fool ya, I can only just barely keep 4 going for a while. I can't do any 4-ball tricks... yet. All that fancy schmancy stuff he mentioned I can only do with 3 at the moment. ;)

I now have new incentive to practice!!!
