A sample piece of the chainmaille weave Inverted Round. This weave is the basis for the Captive Inverted Round weave which I used in some of my necklaces. This weave can be rather stiff at certain sizes, the piece displayed here will actually stand on end if held upright. There are some who have used it in the creation of more complex 3D chainmaille sculpturing, something I have yet to attempt.

Love the look of it! My great grandmother had a necklace made with this kind of maille! Brings back happe memories! YAY!
