You must be sick in the head to even attempt something like this....:worship: (That was a compliment by the way)...I've tried making micro-rings with 30swg copper and attempted e4-in-1 to no avail...

WOW!
I can only make things out of pre-fab rings and chain and such...what an inspiration to craftsmen/women everywhere!
Thank you!

You seem like you've done quite a few! Is it hard? And how did you learn?

It's not hard at all! In fact I plan to make some tutorials to show people just how easy it is! :D I originally learned from the internet, various web sites with tutorials of their own :)

The best online resource I found for maille-making is The Chainmaille Board, it's the biggest online community of maillers on the web! Sorta like the deviantART for chainmaille ;)

I gave it to *spiralkitty as payment for modeling it :) I'd rather give away pieces like that than try to sell them :D

Not a bad detail shot. I'd like to see it a bit closer, however. ;)

30 gague Aluminum?! Why not 30 gague Silver?!

Closer? :O_o:

And silver's for people with money ;p

So I can see the weave in more detail.

Yes, silver. It would be very good if you got some micro-gague silver and did something along those lines. A much brighter look.

I'll see about digging up my original scan of the necklace and post an extreme detail shot into my scraps :)

I'd love to work with silver sometime, but unfortunately I can't afford it at the moment :hmm:

:D That'd be useful.

Can't afford it? Well, that's too bad. It isn't too expensive (depending upon what gague and the planned weave of the piece). About $6.40 an ounce. And you could sell it without a problem. ;)

Yeah, it's not too terribly expensive, but I don't have a local supplier and shipping's still an arm and a leg for the online suppliers I've found :hmm:

Ah. Well, I've got two suppliers here locally. So if you ever need some, just ask, and I can ship it to you for cost. ;)
