Description
Attended a fantastic Regina Spektor concert last night at the Paramount in Seattle! It's an echo of the first concert I ever went to - and it was a beautiful set. Came home afterwards and felt super inspired so did a quick watercolor portrait. Every once in a while I do something completely sans-reference just to remind myself how much further I have left to go.
Self critique - I think it's apparent that I need to go back and do a refresher on the structure of individual features and their relationship to the mask of the face as a whole. This piece sort of drifts between dimensionality and projection.
Tools :
1. Winsor & Newton 12 Color Watercolor Set
2. No. 3 Kolinsky Red Sable Brush
3. 12" × 12" Watercolor Paper
Music : Call Them Brothers + Firewood + How + Open - Regina Spektor (What We Saw From the Cheap Seats)
Time : 1 hour
