....and paid for an annual premium account.  Got to get prints back up and running...and other things.

I was supposed to be going to my first Art Guild meeting tonight, but the sudden snowstorm yesterday caused them to cancel.  Which is just as well, as there's still many inches on the ground.  Supposedly tomorrow will be up in the 50's and it will all be gone.

I've uploaded a few more pictures to Fine Art America, only a couple of which are on dA. fineartamerica.com/profiles/ch…

I hadn't even finished editing Manilow's upload when someone just had to give him some 'Added to' lovin'! Mani'd be totally giving it back at ya! Huggle!

I'm glad peeps like my old crap. :D I kinda missed having the Fashion Show pics up online - the website was taken down something like 15 years ago, and I just built a new one and didn't bother to incorporate that really early Javascript routine that changed the picture with each reload that a friend wrote for me.  I really wish I had better scans, tho, especially of the ones I no longer own.

-----------------------------

I finally found a website I can sell both prints AND originals on: Fine Art America.  fineartamerica.com/profiles/ch…

They specialize in prints, so they do a really good job, and their system is simple, plus you can list any original and physical prints you have for sale along with the POD stuff and its sold directly via private sale.  Plus, greater profit!  I only have three pictures up there so far, but there will be more, yes, there will be more! :)

I also have a Zazzle store now, at www.zazzle.com/anthroland?rf=2…

Sure, I know dA sells prints and such, but I've seen the quality of work that comes out of Fine Art America in person (its the favorite of many local artists), and Zazzle has a great big variety of fun stuff to print on, like watches, Christmas ornaments, and game controllers, plus a more powerful graphics manipulation program.

CafePress and me have mostly parted ways after all these years, due to them trying to treat designers like low-wage employees, making them jump through arbitrary hoops that have nothing to do with designing products, creating products, or advertising products, in order to get their full 10%...if they don't, they get less, down to 5%.  The only reason I haven't pulled out entirely is that three of my images have pending sales or are in the 30-day-return waiting period...and it might be a good idea to keep the account in order to do one-off items for myself that I can't print other places, like TF fan art items.

And now that my brain is so fried I don't remember how to make better looking links in HTML, I'm off to bed.

He liked it! :D

I gave Playful Unicorn Foal to Peter S. Beagle tonight, when I got my Last Unicorn book signed, and he said it reminded him of The Colt From Moon Mountain. :D :D  And that's when I kind of went into Idiot Repeating Geek mode (mostly 'Thank you's...mostly), but not for too long... XD XD XD

He liked it!

SQUEE!

:D :D :D

Yep, yet another batch of old art, and one new sketch.

Really need to edit the big batches of photos I've been taking, too, including another sky dragon pic.  Missed a spectacular one, tho, because I didn't have my camera with me. :(

Dang its getting cold in my place...

I hate when I go to confirm that I still possess a piece that I want to sell...and I can't find it!  ARGH!!!!

I don't know why it didn't occur to me to mention that the originals of Roller Bunny II, Psychedelic Dancer, and at least one other recent upload here are available for sale, but I won't until I can confirm that I still own them.  I know I saw them recently...I just don't know where I slagging PUT THEM.

And I'm damn tired.  Recurrent shingles sucks...especially since most of it is not in the skin but elsewhere in the nervous system. :P :P :P

Felt like uploading a few old ink-marker-colored pencil pieces today, and will tomorrow, too, when I dig out the art I *thought* had been scanned years ago but apparently the file is lost or something.  A few of them have never seen the light of day, and a few are old portfolio pieces since colored.

And finally thought of a better name for the alicorn pic...the first title was because I had the Facts of Life theme in my head the entire time I was manipulating and coloring it.

It's That Time of Month...Yep, That's My Reason

New store in my area, had its Grand Opening today tho it's been open for a few months, that is entirely devoted to local artists.  The selection was excellent, and covered all price ranges...and I got inspired to finally put digital crayons to a picture I've had laying around for some time.

Kinda wishing I had a Cintiq or similar tablet so I could lay on the floor and color just like I did as a kid, without having to look up at a monitor. :)   Lounged in front of my TV instead, coloring nakey alicorn babes with my Intuos3 and only just a bit of anal retentiveness about staying in the lines. :)

Well stuff got cleared up with the friend, who is no longer 'disappeared'. :D  And I was able to add some stuff that hasn't seen the online light of day for a while, so not a bad day...
Every time I think of someone as a best friend,
Even if I never tell them...
They go away.

I don't think I want any more "best" friends.
Finally picked up a mechanical pencil again (but not my favorite which has gone missing again) and eh, I kinda suck but I can still draw.  My eyes get tired fast when doing it, tho.
Just a note to any watchers I might have that don't already know this...not that I expect I have many who aren't already friends.

Around about the time I made that last post, I had some mini-strokes caused by a dissection of one branch of my right carotid artery and was hospitalized.  I'm doing pretty good, in fact the docs were happy with my progress as of early February, but by late February I'd discovered that I have difficulty with the visual aspect of playing cards, and according to the neurologist its likely my art ability is affected as well.

Mini strokes can lead to major ones in the first few months of healing particularly if they've been caused by a dissected artery, so I've been rather conservative with most things I've been doing.  I tried to push it once, and landed back in the hospital, so I'm taking it slower since then.

I don't know if or when I'll be back to doing any kind of art.
Are kids today more immune to being laughed at regarding their ignorance of things adult than those of us who had to display our stupidity in the 80's by putting it down on paper and handing it to or mailing it to a small circle of friends?   Its the only way I can figure why they would try writing and drawing porn publically for sharing with the entire world!

On the other hand, it does provide endless amusement to those of us who enjoy Ignorance on Parade!
Thank you all for the comments, etc, that I'm ALREADY getting on the photos I JUST uploaded!  I don't hang out here that much but I DO check it out regularly, so please be patient if you send me a message.
