He'd been keeping a closer eye on her the past few days.

Sabrina clung close to him as they passed by the oldhome camp, when suddenly a cream-colored figure graced his field of vision. 
The young one. The oldhome big shot that'd come after all the others.

The one that'd been in talks with the hall leaders ever since he set foot in Sonderrime.

Sabrina gave Harkyn a little shy wave her father didn't notice as he kept his eyes on the small man.
"You are not going home."

He knew the comment was unwarranted and unexpected, but something in him bubbled at the thought.

"You have big talks with leaders, so you plan to stay. Maybe not yourself, but your circle and hall. We had peace before you came from oldhome, and now you speak of alliances and trading."

"What do you want from Sonderrime, little man?"

Harkyn does not envy Duke’s position as the Hunter’s Guild leader. He was expected to spearhead every new meeting with isolated populations. It was tiresome. Suspicious was the first wall they had to overcome. It was not an easy one.

“As far as I’m concerned, you also had a huge problem you didn’t know how to handle looming as well. Every curio population we manage to reunite brings us the greatest asset of them all: more information. If we communicate and work together we can overcome the most impossible of obstacles. Or at least try to set things straight when things come off the rails.”

“So that’s what I want. For Sonderrime and the Mainland to have each other to call upon for the betterment of us all. I know things haven’t changed here for quite some time but you must be able to envision a better and safer world. Through trade and alliances we can accomplish that for generations to come.”
