I'm sorry, but I'm starting to think we won't make the estimated release date I promised. I didn't realize how busy :iconkarechan: has been at work lately. She is one of the most important aspects of this project, as it is nothing without her videos, audio, images, etc. I'm so so for putting so much pressure on her. I'm trying to work something out, but if anything, we won't make July. I'd rather a delay than a cancellation of the project entirely. I'm trying to work with Gwendal as well, so hopefully, between the three of us, we can come to our next course of action. Again, sorry.

Good evening!

So, the good news: I was finally able to get in contact with Kare! However, the bad news: she is very busy with her life right now and the script is getting tougher and tougher to translate by herself. Though we used to have assistance from Porimac and Meishu, we have since lost contact with them and we are pretty much on our own. I would help, but my Japanese is very, very, very limited.

My proposition: Would anyone be interested in helping Kare translate the remaining two chapters of XenoComi? You must be at least a little proficient in Japanese. Two people helping each other is better than being alone. We would really like to finish this fan project unlike some of the other fan projects in the past. Please contact me or Kare Reiko if you would like to help us out!

Long time no see!

It's been awhile since I've posted anything on here, but yes, I am still alive. Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing about the projects I've been working on.

To be honest, XenoComi has been on hold for quite awhile. I've tried contacting :iconkarechan: through here and Xeno-Underground but to no avail. Without her, I don't have access to video footage, audio files, and the translation. I guess that's the downside of being a mostly two person team. I just hope everything is alright with her. I understand how life can get in the way of things, and this really started off as a hobby of passion for the fans. We were originally hoping to speed through Shion and Allen's chapters in order to release them a month apart, but at this rate, they may never come out, or at least not this year. If anyone can get into contact with :iconkarechan: through a different method, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd at least like to hear if she is okay.

Anyway, I was working on another project (I finished the entire script), but it fell through as well. Actually, I tried using RPG Maker VX Ace for it but I got stumped on something in the coding. I should probably go back to it someday, or even, you know, ask for help, but I feel like a bother if I do that. Maybe someday.

So yeah, a whole lot of nothing happening. I'm sorry to admit this since I know I'm just as eager as other Xenosaga fans to read the rest of the XenoComi series. I hope we will be able to finish the chapters someday, or, if not us, someone else that can carry the torch. Again, I'm sorry.

As I feared, I'm going to have to push off the release date of XenoComi 5.  I've been working tons of overtime this week, so I haven't had a lot of time to work on XenoComi.  I've been working on it in my spare time, but it wasn't quite enough to meet the 29th release date.  I know, excuses, excuses.  I'm a terrible person.  Sorry.  I only have to work 8 hours today instead of the usual 10 and I have a 3 day weekend coming up, so I will try my best to go on a coding marathon this weekend and send :iconkarechan: a beta build to test.

On a side note, happy birthday, Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra!  I still tear up when Maybe Tomorrow plays...

Good morning.

I know there are still a few days left before the 29th, but I'm going to caution you guys that there might be a delay for XenoComi 5's release.  I've been doing a lot of mandatory overtime at work.  I've also been going to the gym, trying to get myself into shape, so by the end of the day, I'm usually exhausted.  I'm still working on XenoComi, but progress has slowed down a bit.  I may or may not be able to make the release date.  I apologize for the excuses, but I will try my best to meet the 29th or at least a day or two afterwards.  Have a nice day!

Good evening.

I thought I would update my situation a bit.  I have a brand new job with a better schedule, so I have more free time to do productive stuff.

XenoComi 5 is still on track.  I've programmed exactly 200 lines of voiced dialogue so far.  I haven't posted any screenshots in awhile mainly because I haven't come across any CGs yet in Jr.'s story, and I'm sure people don't want to see the same sprites over and over again.  But fear not!  We have not lost our drive to continue the XenoComi translation project!  Two chapters remain after Jr.'s, so here's hoping we can finish them by the end of the year.

Good evening, everyone!

Good news:  I will have a new job within the week.  My orientation starts this Thursday!  After two years of working in a call center, I am excited to be moving onto something else that won't be quite so stressful.  The downside is that the pay is less, but I'm trying to put a focus on my happiness at this point in my life.  And with a morning schedule, I should have more time to work on projects after work.

Bad news:  I have jury duty...on my first real day of my new job.  Wonderful timing, eh?  I've never had jury duty before, and I can't say that I am excited when I would get paid a lot more if I went to work.  I guess I'm scared of making my new employer mad, but I guess they have to allow me the time off.  I can only hope that the trial falls through, but who knows.  EDIT:  The trial fell through!  No jury duty for me!

But anyway, with my change in occupation happening rather soon, I've been in a much better mood, meaning more progress on XenoComi.  I'm sorry, especially to :iconkarechan:, for how terribly slow I am at the project.  At this rate, who knows if we'll get the rest of the chapters out by the end of the year.  I really hope so.  But I just reached over 140 lines of voiced dialogue, so hopefully Jr.'s story will be done in the next month or so.  On a Xeno related side note, :iconquitebrilliantindeed:'s Xenosaga panel at ACen was amazing!  Very informative and fun.  I believe they have another one planned for Colossalcon, if anyone is interested.

I would very much like to move onto another project.  Thanatos Contract was and still is my baby, but I'd like to move on and use the techniques and strategies I've learned from the process.  Will my next game be a visual novel?  RPG?  I'm not sure yet.  Again, I'm very interested in getting in contact with some of the people I watch who are asking for commissions, but I will wait until my idea is a little bit more grounded, or at least until I have some type of mockup.

Have a good night, everyone!

Good morning!

I guess this is kind of a status update/ramble.  As far as projects go, Thanatos Contract has a fork in it, because it is done.  Not too many people have downloaded the last episode thus far, and even less have told me what they thought about it.  But that's totally fine.  I believe that it's my fault entirely.  I mean, really, how long of a gap between episode II and III was there?  Too long, and with a series broken up into multiple episodes, it's really disgraceful.  I admire what TellTale Games does with their games.  If you haven't given episode III a shot (heck, or I and II), you can download each episode of Thanatos Contract for free here:  Thanatos Contract

XenoComi is slowly coming along, but I haven't made too much progress this week because I've been preparing myself for ACen.  We're going to be driving in my car this year, so I've been making sure it runs okay.  I've had two tires replaced, oil changed, and had the tires rotated and realigned, so I'm hoping all goes smoothly.  As far as ACen goes, I noticed there will be a panel over visual novels on Saturday, so I'm hoping to check that out.  Also, Xenosaga panel.  It has to be better than the Xeno panel at Indiana Comic Con...

Speaking of visual novels, I recently funded two games on Kickstarter:  Sunrider (…) and Exogenesis (…).  The first one is a strategy RPG, visual novel hybrid, the second being a visual novel in the vein of the Zero Escape series.  Sunrider won me over with it's fun and strategic battle system, but also mecha.  Exogenesis  purely won me over by its sheer beauty and atmosphere.  Now, Sunrider's kickstarter campaign has ended, but Exogensis still has 8 days left.  I would highly recommend donating to their cause, or at least trying out the demo (which is quite beefy and awesome).  The fact that both games are made in Ren'Py fills me with such hope, but also makes me incredibly embarrassed by some of my older projects in Ren'Py.

Lastly, I've seen several friends on here offering commissions.  I want to throw money at you guys, seriously, because of how awesome you are.  But I don't have any projects beyond XenoComi at the moment.  I have an idea, that may end up being a novel, visual novel, or just a pile of crap in the corner of my mind, but that's not enough to commission someone to do art for it.  If working on Thanatos Contract taught me anything, it's that I really need to plan these projects out in advance or at a faster pace in the future.  But I hope you guys are doing well!

tl;dr, I'm just rambling at this point.  Have a swell day, everyone!

After working on the series for years, Thanatos Contract Episode III: Shiniablo is now available to download:…

First of all, I'm sorry for the delay.  This should be the last mistake I make with the series.  But it is now available for download on Windows, Mac, and Linux.  An Android version might come later, but these will be the supported platforms for the moment.

Phew!  After all this time, I'd like to thank everyone who has helped me.  First, a visual novel wouldn't be quite the same without its art.  Thanks go to :iconsalut-hurricane:, :icondragonmun:, :iconshinseikakumei:, :iconstitchedmoon:, and especially :iconkatimusprime:.  Without :iconkatimusprime:, this project would have never gotten off the ground.

Next, thanks go out to my editors on the series:  :iconbrandonrchinn:, :iconxleah7x:, and, again, :iconstitchedmoon:, who never pulled any punches.

Also, I thank :iconjdwasabi: for her contributions to the soundtrack and her extensive beta testing.  I can freely admit that I'm terrible when it comes to music and sound effect choices, so your help was greatly appreciated.

And I also thank my beta testers:  :iconarminhosama:, :iconjdwasabi:, :icontrizzopi:, and :iconxleah7x:.

I'm all about be redundant, so I thank :iconkatimusprime: once again.  She's thankfully kept the Thanatos Contract website up after Godsibb went down, and she's just been there for me.  I don't lie when I saw this project wouldn't exist without her help.  Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

Okay, enough of the feelings.  The last entry in the Thanatos Contract series is now available.  Please let me know what you think!

Good morning!

Today is the day for Thanatos Contract Episode III: Shiniablo to release!  Where is it now, then?  Well, I have to go to work and my internet isn't exactly lightning fast, so I will most likely need to upload it later.  I'm hoping it won't go into early Saturday, but the file sizes aren't exactly tiny.  But I just thought I would warn you guys now that it might be the end of the day today until the third episode goes live (I'm U.S Eastern time zone, so also factor that in as well).

I apologize for one last frustration, but hey, we are soooo close!  Have a nice day, everyone!

In celebration of next week's release of Thanatos Contract Episode III, I give to you the Android version of the first episode:…

The game was primarily designed and tested on a tablet, so it might not be the greatest on a phone.  It might be awhile before Episode II hits Android because of all the imagemaps I need to fix in that game.

But anyway, Episode III hits on Friday, April 18th!

I'm pleased to announce that Thanatos Contract Episode III: Shiniablo will be available for download on April 18th, 2014.  I'm setting my foot down on this date to give my team time to finish up the last of the assets and test it a few more times.  In the mean time, I'll try to see if I can possibly push out Android versions of the previous episodes, if I can do it.

Also, I updated the website, but not with anything I haven't already told you guys:

Good morning, folks!  (seriously, though, I really shouldn't be up this late, but who cares)

I haven't really made an official status update on my projects since about August, so let me go over them a little bit.

Thanatos Contract
Major programming is done, as I've mentioned before.  I still need to implement some of the CGs :iconkatimusprime: sent me not too long ago, along with making some of the changes :iconjdwasabi: suggested, but the game is complete for the most part.  Along with the CGs, I need to fix the art gallery to make it actually work.  But I still haven't heard from two of my beta testers yet, so I'm still kind of twiddling my thumbs until I hear back from them.  I'm hoping to be completely done in a few months, but we'll see how it goes, depending on the rest of the team's schedule.

Development of Jr.'s chapter has officially begun.  I've programmed roughly 40 lines of the voiced dialogue so far, a good chunk of it done today.  It's kind of relaxing to program XenoComi in comparison to Thanatos Contract because all I have to do is plug and chug the artwork and translated text in without having to worry about imagemaps, waiting for anybody else, etc.  Everything is done and mostly the same as the previous chapters.  But :iconkarechan: and myself are hoping to finish the rest of the XenoComi chapters this year (fingers crossed).  Once development on Thanatos Contract officially ends, I hope to dedicate my spare time fully to XenoComi.

Once these projects are done, I'm not sure what awaits me.  I'd really like to go back to school and perhaps get an Associate's degree in computer science, but I'm not 100% certain about that yet.  I love programming in Ren'Py, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll be good at programming in other languages.  Who knows.  I just need to get out of this rut I'm in.  Also, I've had this story in my head for a long time.  I seem to always fail when it comes to getting it down on paper, so I'm not sure what form it will ultimately take.  Novel?  Visual novel?  RPG?  Point and click adventure game?  Most likely it will rot and disappear within my brain, but who knows.

tl;dr, projects are moving, be it at a slow pace.  For all of the people I have frustrated with my slowness and poor leadership skills, I deeply apologize.  Take care.

With development on Thanatos Contract Episode III coming to a close, I'm needing some people to test the game out.  I have two beta testers already, but they have been really busy and haven't had much time to play through them.  I haven't had much to do since most of the focus right now is to get the other assets of the game complete, so I would love to correct any glitches and grammar/spelling errors that may exist.

-You must have completed Episodes I and II.

...and that's really it.  If you are interested in being a beta tester, please respond to this journal entry.  Your name, of course, will be listed in the credits for the help you provide.

I've been trying my best to keep on the ball when it comes to Thanatos Contract Episode III: Shiniablo, and I have a bit of news.  As the title says, coding is pretty much 76% complete, but what that also means is that I finished programming the first ending.  Technically, there are three different endings total, which one of them unlocks after finishing the other two, but I digress.  PROGRESS!

So, for the billionth time, I'm sorry for the slow progress on the game!  Seriously, I need to re-evaluate making original visual novels/games after I finish TC.  For those few fans remaining:  hang in there!

Hello, everyone.  It's been awhile.  As usual, I've been busy with work and hanging out with college friends before they scatter off into the world.  I do have some updates though.

.: Thanatos Contract :.
When I'm not playing Tales of Xillia, I'm programming the heck out of Thanatos Contract Episode III.  Currently, coding is at 40% complete.  That's an 8% increase during the weekend, which I contribute to the fact that I'm becoming less and less social, with friends moving away.  Sad development, but the positive at least means more TCIII development work.  The CGs and ending theme hasn't been completed yet, but I think :iconkatimusprime: and :iconjdwasabi: have plenty of time to work on them.  Once I finish the coding, I'm going to continuously test it to get rid of bugs.

.: XenoComi :.
:iconkarechan: and I have been taking a break to work on our own projects, but she might be sending me the assets soon for the next chapter.  Once I do, I'll probably start some preliminary work.  As far as I know, Jr. should be our next focus.  I won't guarantee a release date, but it will most likely come out before Thanatos Contract Episode III (unless something weird happens).

Again, sorry for all of the delays!  Have a nice day, everyone!

It's been two years since Thanatos Contract Episode I: Offline Meeting was released.  We here at Endless Finale Productions have had both highs and lows, with a small fan following and some negative criticism.  And since it's been over a year since episode II hit, we've lost our momentum a bit.  For that, I apologize.

But anyway, to (hopefully) make up for all of this, here's a demo for Thanatos Contract Episode III: Shiniablo:…

There is a Mac and Windows version.  I have a limit to how much I can upload per day, so I haven't uploaded a Linux version, but if anyone requests one, I'll try to upload it sometime soon.

Please let me know your thoughts on the demo!  Now, seeing as it is an unfinished product, there are bound to be errors, so let me know if you catch anything!  Have fun!

Last weekend, I attended ACen for the very first time.  For those who don't, ACen is an anime convention in Rosemont, Illinois, and it's, well, pretty big.  In comparison to the other cons I've been to, its size was staggering.  I decided to not cosplay this time because, well, I've grown a bit tired of cosplaying as Gendo Ikari and I'm just too lazy to create a new cosplay.  XD  I would like to possibly lose weight and cosplay as a Kamen Rider, but that dream may or may not come true.

Anyway, the first day at the con wasn't bad.  My allergies were acting up pretty bad, so I had trouble breathing for the majority of the day.  We went to a few panels, one of which being a visual novel panel.  Despite the panelist being late, I rather enjoyed it.  And I was quite overjoyed to see more of a visual novel presence in general here, as there was a booth in the dealers room that sold them (which is where I bought my copies of Higurashi for a pretty cheap price).  That night, I went to my very first rave...for 5 minutes.  I'm not so good with crowds of people and my breathing was still pretty ragged, so my friends and I left pretty quickly.

Saturday was a bit better.  My friend's cousin gave me allergy medicine, so I was able to enjoy the con a bit better.  We went to a few more panels, but, besides the visual novel and slightly the Kamen Rider panel, most of the panels we went to were pretty bad.  We waited in a huge line to get into a Nintendo panel, but what it turned out to be was nothing more than Nintendo cosplayers asking the crowd for questions in character.  Which would have been fine, except for the majority of them were really bad at playing their characters or being amusing whatsoever.  It's like if I went as Gendo for a panel and expect me to be in character:  I'm more Shinji than Gendo.  But I digress.  We went to yet another rave...where I just sat around awkwardly by myself.  Waiting in line for the rave, people were high-fiving and hugging, which I participated in my own socially awkward fashion.  I was so awkward that someone patted me on the shoulder to console me.  But then we went to the gaming room, which made up for it.  We stayed until dawn the next morning, around 5 a.m., but it was totally worth it.

I bought some swag, but not a ton of it, like in past cons.  I bought a new KOS-MOS figure to add to my collection, but I didn't go overboard on an expensive one this time (hides his $120 KOS-MOS figure).  Overall, I think I would return to ACen, given the opportunity.  I think I prefer the variety and quality of panels at Ohayocon, but everything else was leaps better at ACen.  I can still only imagine what it would be like to have a booth setup for Thanatos Contract and XenoComi...

I know it's been a long time since episode II was released (really, it's been over a year?).  I really apologize with the long wait.  I admit that my priorities aren't always focused.  I can't always blame my job.  To make up for this, I have created a new teaser trailer for the third episode that shows off :iconkatimusprime:'s early production sketches for the game:…

Along with that, our time with godsibb has just about ran out, so the new website for Thanatos Contract is going to be  It will be this website that will be updated from now on.

I'm going to try my best to end the series this year.  When, I can't confirm just yet, but it will be this year.  Take care, everyone!
