great shot! the vignetting round the edges is very distracting though :) I would recommend clearing it up :) Fantastic shot tho! def. a fav!

when we came out of the trees and i saw it, i just stopped the car right there at the edge, backed up, and pulled off the road. the scene just grabbed me.

This is a great idea!
This must have taken a million tries to get it right.
May I ask how many exposures are combined here?

well, i tried it once, noticed i had too much shadow from trees on the road, moved up, tried again, increased my iso a little, set my drive setting to multi-burst, then joe tossed them once more and that was it. so, third time was the charm, and now that i know what settings i need to use, i could do it in one take from here out. the key to the uniformity of the path was that joe was behind me tossing them. i probably could have used a lower iso, but i lost my pod mount a ways back up the road. oh, to your question, :G this is three pics. i started with the one in the center, added the top shoes to another layer and copy-brushed them to another layer, then removed the orig. then i did the same with the bottom one's. in hindsight, it would have been better to start with the bottom set because they have the shadows and worse still they're across the yellow line. if you look where they cross, you'll see a little bend in the line where my cam had slightly moved while taking the pics. what do you think about the shadow's? do you think it would look better without them? i was thinking it may look a little cleaner if i hadn't added them.

it would have been hard to get the shoes so straight and operate the wired remote at the same time / thanks. today i found that the software that comes with my camera can be used to control it, set options i can't set in the camera's menu system, take timed pics, etc. :D i'm so happy! i'm going to load it to my laptop and get to tackling some concepts i've had for a long time now.
