The last few uploads have been very strong, overall. If you practiced during your hiatus, it sure shows!
I like the lined watercolor look you went for. It's soft and comfy with the colors and shading (especially the design on her hat!), yet the two are still sharp and recognizable. I'd like to see more of this style, for sure. That said, I have two nitpicks. The first is merely mechanical: her hair and scarf don't seem to fall naturally into place, but rather seem a bit stiff. I could see Dawn having split ends, but her scarf seems to hang off in either direction instead of draping over her upper body. I like the zig-zag flow(?) they make together on the bottom-right, though.
I'm a little iffy on the other nitpick. I'm not sure if it's because of the image compression, or that he's entirely in her shadow, but Lucas looks tattooed onto her cheek rather than trapped in her scarf. In fact, when I first saw this on my phone, I thought she had some crumbs on her face. I suppose there's only so much detail to put into a tiny character, but Hau and Red looked distinct in the last couple of pics.
Maybe it's the style.
That said, now that I can appreciate the cute scenario for what it is, I almost didn't include that criticism. But, maybe there's something your artist's eye can discern about it that I can't articulate.
