Forgotten Fairytales

This picture is imediately noticeable and catches the viewer's eye. The girl is reasonably young and completely unmarked in a white gown that givers her a sence of inosence and purity, but the pose and deep expression on her face shows that she is troubled. While her gauzy dress flows down from her perch whimsically, the back round is dark and dirty, rather like the feel of many adult problems. So if we were to put those beautifully constructed pieces and ideas the picture gives us together, it portrays a young, teenage girl still full of childhood unknowing that is troubled and thinking of the harsh world.
That is one view that seems like a possibly common one. Either way, the lighting might lights the girl and seems away into her dingy area of choice, creating an almost halo-like effect upon her. The neutral keeps not a feeling of firey temper or blue despair but sad pondering.
