Figured it was about time that I uploaded something to prove I'm not dead!
A quasi-artistic car photo seemed like a good thing to break the ice with. I liked how the setting sun gave a nice warm tone to this picture, works well with the neutral silver of the car itself I think.
The sun being so low did however require me to lay flat on my back with the camera to get this photo without my shadow being right bang in the middle of it though!
This is my current chariot - nothing particularly exciting, but that's not going to stop me snapping photographs at any given opportunity!
For those interested in such things, especially those of you living outside Europe and probably wondering what the car you're looking at is - it's a 1998 Peugeot 306 LX. In this case in 1.6 litre petrol form, which is a bit unusual as the 306 was a car which was far more commonly seen (in the UK at least) in diesel form. It's also the saloon (sedan) version, and is a rare example of a car which I think actually looks better as a saloon than hatchback.
Don't think it's looking too bad for a 14 year old car myself!
Couple of scuffs on the bumper need to be touched up with the correct colour of silver, but I figured that was better than the black scrape that was there before. The real cosmetic let-down from the front which you can see from a mile off is where the edges of the windscreen have started to de-laminate somewhat. Nothing I can do about that save for replacing the screen though, which is a bit of an expensive option to get rid of a purely cosmetic blemish.
I may upload a revised version of this photo tomorrow when I'm back at my main PC, as I should be able to clean it up a bit better there.
