Description
140 037 heads back to Aachen West, coming from the route to Belgium. The class 140 itself cannot actually drive to Belgium due to different electricity systems and the fact that the route isn't actually electrified yet (should be done before the end of 2008, though). For this reason I assume it was used on helper duty on the rather severe grade leading up to the belgian border, and is now returning for other work.
This unit has been put in service in 1958, according to a website. The same website gives 1961 for 140 202 which
is currently investiganting, so if the dates are correct, this one is three years older, but still in active service. I don't really think that makes sense, but maybe the dates on the website are wrong.

Schönes Bild! Unlogisch wäre es nicht, wenn einmal ne jüngere verschrottet wird, hängt ja auch davon ab wie viel die im Dienst leisten mussten. Bei meiner bin ich grad nicht so sicher wann das eigentliche Baujahr sein muss, die Seite da sagt 61, aufm Trafo steht 58, wobei es ja gut sein kann, das die Trafos auf Vorrat gebaut wurden oder so.
Jedenfalls hab ich sie nochmal so oft es ging abgelichtet, und bösartigerweise ein paar Teile entwendet
