The Growing Atelier
Welcome to The Growing Atelier.
This is a quiet space where ideas become paintings, paintings become stories, and nature gently guides the creative process.
Here I share sketches, behind-the-scenes moments, reflections, creative exercises and the journey behind my books and art.
Together we nurture a deeper connection with nature through creativity.
Thank you for supporting independent art and becoming part of this growing creative world.

Description
Another picture from the Harzer Schmalspurbahnen, a narrow-gauge railroad crossing the Harz mountains.
99 7234 (the -0 is a control number and not normally mentioned) is one of many steam engines built in the GDR specially for traffic on that route, and is consequently known as one of the "new" engines. They carry most of the passenger carrying load there, simply because that's the most frequent class on the network. Here it is sitting in Wernigerode in June 2005, waiting for a new job.
