I'm gonna be one who goes out there and critiques this photo. You certainly inspire me and always have awesome photo's to look at. I actually think you have done much better than this but that doesn't mean that it isn't good.
My first reaction to the photo is one of equilibrium, I feel like i'm falling over cause the deviation is noticeably crooked. I am not sure if that was the intention but with the water shooting up crooked really makes it apparent. I think maybe the intent was to have the water shoot into the sun so that is why it is this way.
I love the sun in this photo, you typically have dark and dreary shots, which personifies you and really is your style. This seems to move away or combine a sense of brightness with the usual dark tones. I really like that as the mixture certainly works well. Building and tree details are nice and have the old Zardo feel to them. Love the clouds wrapping around the sun almost trying to choke it out as well. I honestly think this photo would have done very well as a landscape as there seems to be a bit too much darkness towards the top and it would have given more detail to look at as far as green grass and structure.
As usual the impact and vision of your photo's is stunning. It really comes down to personal taste in photography for those that view your photo's as you do very well with technique and vision. I would love to see you shoot some more colored and lit up shots as well as some modern cityscape shots one day. Nonetheless you are one of my top inspirations here at dA so thanks for always contributing great photography.
