Dead cities

Thanks got the idea from when I visited Los angeles. The last day we were there we got to hang out at a former Pab's Blue ribbon brewery turned artist colony. It was dark and we watched a movie on the roof. I live in phoenix (the valley of the sun) and the view of all the ridiculously buildings partially lit up was beautiful, more beautiful then going to the beach (one thing I also never get to experience living here). There is one building that is not falling apart in the painting and that is the green one in the background.I guess that's the emerald city.

This piece really catches my eye....perhaps it's the colour combination and dripping effect, or maybe it's merely the subject matter. I don't know. melting buildings are always good to look at, I guess.
