"The Haunted Jackalian Mansion"
That morning inside the dining room of the Galactic Jackalian Hero Squad’s apartment, the air was warm with the smell of breakfast. Pinka moved around the table with cheerful focus, serving pancakes, French toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, sunny-side-up eggs, and glasses of orange juice. The morning should have felt peaceful, but Stelsa sat in his dining chair reading a newspaper with a serious look on his face.
The front-page article showed a report about Old Clawton Manor — an old haunted mansion where witnesses claimed to have seen ghosts, skeletons, and zombies.
Stelsa lowered the newspaper slightly, his eyes widening as he read aloud, “Get this, guys! Old Clawton Manor is said to be home to ghosts, skeletons, and zombies, according to witnesses!”
