Speak Up, Meli!
Skippy stood onstage in a tuxedo and said, “There are some people who just love being in the spotlight.”
Behind the curtain, Meli writhed and said, “No, let me go! I won’t do it!”
“They’re natural-born leaders, who feel just as comfortable on stage as they do in their own rooms.”
Meli dashed past, knocking over Skippy’s microphone. He picked it up, but then Lola and Winston knocked it back over while chasing Meli, who yelled, “Coming through!”
“Meli, come back!” said Lola.
“You said you wanted to do this,” said Winston.
“I changed my mind!” said Meli.
As Lola and Winston dragged Meli back onto the stage, Skippy picked up his microphone again and lied, “And there’s no one I know who fits this description better than… Meli.”
“Speech! Speech! Speech! Speech!” chanted Lola and Winston.
“Uh… I…” said Meli, and then ran off screaming.
“Um, we’re experiencing technical difficulties,” said Skippy. “Thank you for your patience. Start the story!”
