I did some research so I could get an image of how severe Icho's injuries really are:
- Fragmentation injuries (from shrapnel wounds),
- possible brain injury (from the way she's talking),
- possible body trauma (from being thrown into the air),
- rupture of the tympanic membrane (from the shock wave),
- possible damage to the middle ear,
- possible abdominal hemorrhage and perforation,
- rupturing of the eyeballs (from the blast wave's pressure),
- possible lung injury,
- possible heart complications,
what she experienced:
- Severe bleeding,
- hearing loss,
- double/blurry vision (possible blindness and eye bleeding),
- persistent headache,
- anxiety, or depression,
- chest pain,
- abdominal pain,
- difficulty to breathe.
simply put, her body felt like a nightmare after that explosion, which put her in a stage of guilt (because she couldn't save her family) and pain (from the injuries) during the last moments of her life.
okay...how just tell me how did you end up calculating all of the possible induries that she felt, i can't tell if your a researcher or a doctor, or you just end up searching what are the possibilities that ended her body like injury hell, and well according on what you said and what i just seen here, it is clearly all true, and now i'm gonna be honest is there is a chance she could be alive (if dead then I don't know what to say im speechless for the next page incoming)
All of a sudden, Usha becomes this much more of a sympathetic character...
Do you think this is a reason Usha is sleep-deprived? Maybe she is scared to fall asleep because the traumatic event depicted here might be a recurring nightmare for her.
Still doesn't excuse the heinous tactics she utilizes to accomplish her goal!
No. part of the reason why she is sleep deprived is because Usha has been constantly in search of anything that can destroy Oxide. Mizo asks Zander and the team to not tell Usha about the events earlier in the chapter because Mizo knows the knowledge would further fuel Usha's desire to destroy Oxide.
I guess what I meant by "empathize" is that I understand her anger - her town and friend were killed by Oxide, so naturally she seeks revenge against Him. Decent antagonist motive, right?
However, I hope she realizes that there are more healthy and less insane alternatives to satiate her strong desire for vengeance that do not involve staying awake and vigilant for hours upon end; blackmailing members of her own guild to do what she wants; physically abusing those who defy her or hide information from her; pushing those close to her beyond their limits to the point of collapse; and - most pressingly, in my opinion - walking around all day with bloodshot eyes, dirty fur, and a pair of unattractive eye-bags!
I hope that somebody musters up the courage to confront Usha about her motives and methods; even if it costs that pokemon his/her badge, I think it would be worth exposing her. Her response will show whether she is beyond redemption or not, whether she truly cares about her family and friends, and whether she is willing to adopt a new strategy to defeat Oxide.
Most likely. That is probably how she can terminate his vacation time and he can't do anything about it, because he knows that, if he refuses to comply, she will probably expose him for the abusive @#$hole of a father he is.
Remember, Usha (Somehow) has a high position in the guild. Zander is a low-ranking member of that same guild. If you ask me, regarding the status of both Zander and Usha, more pokemon would believe Usha than Zander. Zanick probably knows this fact, as well.
Yeah this explains everything but I still don't think Zanick hates his son, more likely he hates what he reminds to him right? (This is just my opinion but I might be wrong since I found this comic like a week ago)
