For this context I had to create an illustration following the guideline "My last cat drawing before the end of the world".
After some thinking I reminded that famous painting by Edward Munch, "The Scream of Nature" about which the painter wrote: I was walking along the road with two friends – the sun was setting – suddenly the sky turned blood red – I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence – there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city – my friends walked on, and I stood there trembling with anxiety – and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature
I thought that cats, sometimes, have this sudden stare in there eyes, shocked, like frozen, suggesting that they can see things that we, human, can't see.
I did the drawing in two evenings. On the first one, I studied poses of cats yawning, ( while staring bizarrely at my cat Tom Gribouille ) then did the line art, . The second evening was devoted to coloring in Photoshop. I came up with an image that's typically not my usual style, because of the orange colors that were taken from Munch, but also because of the technique used and the little time I've put in it.
The goal would be to reach 1000 likes before December 1st... I don't know if it's possible. I just know that you guys rock !
