This is so lovely! :) I'm just staring at the leaves, all of those little details that bring the forest alive. It is inspiring to watch this, see all of the work you must have put into it and how it all wraps together beautifully and naturally. Working on greyscale really brings the lights and shadows onto the pedestal, making it so important to get it just right. I really enjoy watching the harmonious layers of lights and shadows and how everything pops out from the paper. I think it's really easy to make things disappear into the paper, to have everything in one layer and have no depth in there: this work doesn't have that problem! :) It is wonderfully executed! I was delighted to find this work from your gallery.

Exquisite detail work, sir. I'm in love with your work! Roughly how many hours did you put into this drawing?

Just wondering (in my never-ending quest to practice digital colouring with my new tablet) do you mind if I colour this for you and repost it to dA, quoting you and this artwork in the description? I can't guarantee I'll do it justice but I'll certainly put a lot of time into it.

This is great! the lighting, shading, anatomy and lifelike bark on the trees must have taken a very long time! The only thing is bing a girl sitting on a tree like that would be very painful but then again I do have a bit more mass to hold up than a fairy :]
