COMMISSIONS ARE CLOSED

Rules:

:bulletblue: I accept payment via PayPal (preferred), money order, or check.
:bulletblue: I no longer allow cash payments because they are rather tempting to certain (read: dishonest) postal workers.
:bulletblue: For commissions $10 and under, I require full payment upfront.
:bulletblue: For commissions over $10, I require 50% payment upfront, and the remaining 50% upon completion/delivery. 25% of the payment (half of the first payment) is non-refundable.
:bulletblue: All prices are in USD ($).

:bulletred: I will take commissions for original characters/creatures.
:bulletred: I will not reproduce the art or characters of anyone on deviantART without their express permission.  This includes "fanart" of other dA artists' original characters/creatures.  The only exception to this rule is if myself AS WELL AS the commissioner have obtained permission from the intellectual owner(s).  Proof of permission must be provided IN WRITING and will be verified before continuing.
:bulletred: Art will be submitted to deviantART upon completion and approval of commissioner.  The version submitted to deviantART will be watermarked and disclaimed as necessary.  The client will receive a clean, high-resolution version of the file image in the format of their choice.  (Unless otherwise stated, I will assume that you want a .jpeg image.)
:bulletred: As the artist, I reserve the right to display commissioned material in my portfolios, online and otherwise, and to sell prints of any commissioned work (unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon).  I will, however, give credit where it is due, and will not claim to be the intellectual owner of any material that is not mine.
:bulletred: Please note that commmissioning artwork from me does not give the commissioner sole rights to the piece and the contents thereof.  Artwork is still copyright to me, characters are still copyright property of their owners, and any publishing by a third party needs to be cleared with me through written approval BEFORE it takes place.
:bulletred: These commissions are intended for personal use only.  Please do not resubmit, display, or publish them anywhere, online or otherwise, for any reason, without my written permission.  This includes, but is not limited to: forum communities (such as GaiaOnline), personal pages (such as Myspace and Facebook), video hosting sites/communities (such as YouTube and Veoh), online magazines/journals or writing communities (such as LiveJournal and BlogSpot), and especially art communities (such as paperdemon, y!Gallery, FurAffinity, Pixiv, and here on deviantART).  Please don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions; like everything else, I will work with you on a case-by-case basis, depending on what you'd like to do with the image in question.
:bulletred: I reserve the right to refuse or terminate any commission request at any time, for any reason, without disclosing said reason(s).  Refunds are given at my discretion, and are handled on a case-by-case basis.

WHAT I'LL NEED FROM YOU (regardless of commission type)
- Indication of the desired commission type (See Below).
- For characters: Brief information on the character(s) such as age (or the age they appear, if it is different from their actual age), build/body type and height, and a summary of their personality type or commission-relevant history. (i.e.; I don't need to know that Billy-Bob paints model airplanes in his spare time unless you want him painting a model airplane in the commission itself.)
- For creatures: information regarding body type, category of creature or any resemblence that it/they might bear to any existing animal, environment/habitat, colouration/plumage/etc, basic behavior patterns, a summary of personality type (if sentient) or commission-relevant history.
**Unless you have a specific scene from a literary work in mind, please do not link me to sections of literature in place of references.  I do not have time to read through a chapter or story to find specifics on what a character looks like or how they act.
**Please limit written descriptions to no more than two paragraphs for sketch commissions; anything longer is probably too much information.
- Links to reference images are a huge plus if you have them, but aren't necessary.  I love doing concept work or envisioning/re-envisioning characters, and have no problem with doing that if you so wish it.
- If your commission involves characters belonging to other artists, I will ask you for proof of permission.  Gift-commissions are handled on a case-by-case basis.  Also, please let me know which characters belong to whom, so that I may disclaim them as necessary.
- If you are commissioning fanart, reference images are required.  Please be ready to provide links to images or albums that I can refer to when drawing.
- Information regarding what you'd like for the character(s) to be doing, as specific as possible, is preferred.
- When sending payment, please include your screen name/username somewhere in the subject line.  This ensures that I am aware that you have sent payment, and leaves nothing to question.

If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a note.
