They're trying to mimic the Sonic Colors mentality, which honestly isn't a good thing IMO. The platforming in that game looks so basic, and now they're following that game's lead again. That's the main thing that concerns me gameplay wise. It's a good thing the story seems interesting because that's probably what's gonna keep me playing.
Sonic colors indeed has pretty basic platforming, but what makes the game good is actually the wisps, which added much replay value and gameplay variety to it, and they work pretty well with the game itself. However they didn't do that well making the wisps work well in lost world, thus ended up making wisps seemed really unnessary for the game. Now there are wispons. Cool ideas for the wisp to be turned into weapons and used in different ways, but I doubt they'll work that well in the long run. I'm hoping for the best but Forces really got problems that we can't ignore.
