There was a salty, seaside smell. It wasn't a new smell for him, honestly, as they'd both grown up on the sands of the beach. 💋 Chapter V【 Act I 】
Percy couldn't hear his pursuer but he could feel his presence riding in like the front of a storm and he knew he couldn't linger in the stairwell for too much longer. All his running and being chased felt nothing like this. He had been being chased before by people with dubious intent, but he had his wits about him then, and no proof they meant him any ill will. He had also seen people, not creatures -- monsters such as this.
